Chapter 23

A time to return back to my human world was getting closer and closer. I wasn't sure if I wanna return back. Sometimes, I know, it's hard to live here for me, but still, I felt more comfortable here than in the world where I lived.

I was ready to return back, but suddenly I heard a familiar voice behind my back.

"Are you returning back?"

I nodded, still with my back to him. I heard a sigh. Was he sad? I thought.

"Please, return to me, before you disappear... I want to see your face again."

I slowly turned to him and looked deeply into his eyes, locking our gazes. The evil time ruined this whole most beautiful moment because I appeared back in my room.

"WHY!?" I shouted aloud. I felt desperate. I felt empty. I felt angry. I felt sad.

I grabbed a pillow and threw him against the wall. My heart got filled with anger. "ARGH!" I hated my life. I didn't want to live here anymore. I needed to return back to the book right now! I quickly opened the book and with my finger, I ran down the page gently. Seungkwan was there. He was surely waiting for me. With a deep sigh, I closed the book, putting it back on the nightstand.

I pulled out my phone and turned it on.

Hansol:
Where are you?

Jisoo:
I'm sorry, Sol
But I can't come today... :/

Hansol:
Oh...
It's okay

I turned my phone off and threw it on my bed, getting up and walking up to my window. "Where are you, Jisoo when I need you the most? Don't do this to me... You're my only friend." I sighed once more. I've wanted to live in the book world more and more every single day because there has been a person who was still waiting for me. And also, there have been people who cared about me. But then I realized that I couldn't leave this world at all since I couldn't leave Jisoo.

Midnight.

The book opened and pulled me inside and then I appeared in the fantasy world again. I looked around to make sure if no one saw me because I appeared in the most dangerous place called the square.

I quickly turned around and ran towards the stables, where I've noticed Seokmin standing there and waving at me. 

"You're here, a prince was asking for you," Seokmin said with a smirk, turning at Soonyoung who was approaching us quietly, and then he stood beside Seokmin. "Yeah, Seokmin's right. Seungkwan had been here." Soonyoung smiled. "I think he loves you, but he wouldn't admit it at all." They both laughed.

 I was just standing and staring at them without words. But then happened something that I didn't expect at all. We about wolf-

"Hansol!? You're here!? I was waiting for you!" he shouted, running up to us. He took a breath and then looked at me. "I got worried about you, Hansol. I know that a lot of posters are around us, but I don't care. I just wanted to see you again and-" He stopped for a moment. "I know why are you here," he added almost inaudibly.

I gulped, trying to act normal, even though it was a bit hard than before. He knew why I've been here.

"I can't stop you, you know what is right. Do what you think is right." He sadly smiled and left.

I turned behind him and wanted to go after him, but Seokmin's hand stopped me all of sudden.

"Leave him alone for now. He's right. He can't stop you. He also knows that the king is just an asshole, but also, that asshole is his father after all. He's the last member of his family. Everyone's dead, unfortunately by his own hand. And the worst is that Seungkwan knows it all. Seungkwan never forgot and never will because he had been forced to watch it all," Seokmin explained me calmly.

Silence.

I noticed Soonyoung's glassy look. I wasn't even surprised at all. Seungkwan had to be strong after all what he saw in his life. 

Seokmin turned to Soonoyung and put his hand around Soonyoung's neck. Then he just wiped a tear from his cheek carefully. 

I sighed. It wasn't the best day at all. It was the worst day of my fucking life...
