After the council meeting there were plenty more but first came the announcement of her fiancé. As expected the women rejoiced though Alex spotted a few envious ones as well. They were looking at Clara with some disdain. The young girl was full of smiles the entire day, even though Alex did nothing else but let the girl to hold onto her as they walked the through the streets. She supposed it was first loves and all that. Either way, when the festival came to an end she gave the girl a kiss to her cheek and sent her off to her chambers before going back to the west side of the palace.

The days after were filled with her either dealing with drawing up laws and regulations, a charter so to speak aside from the basic ones she tried to incorporate as many modern laws she knew from her own home world. Thankfully the legislature was met with open arms and she rested her hand because Jesus writing those things by hand was really a chore.

Other than being a regular law maker she had created subdivisions. She started with the dressmakers . She called in women who had a knack for machinery to assist. And with her big ass brain she managed to draw up a rough sketch of a loom. Hopefully the machinery would boom the textile industry because as far as she knew these people did everything by hand and she honestly felt sorry about that. She nearly died inside when she heard the process which made her draw a rather rough sketch of the loom.

She was sure Westeros and the Essos had access to it but for now she was just concentrating on furthering her own small moving country.

After a month the loom was born and she was ecstatic to watch it work. The test run was successful , so including the carpenters once more she set them to create and build 10 more.

The issue now was settling a working economy. At the moment things worked on a barter system which would die out, the crown had way to much gold in its safe and she she added her own personal wealth to it well let's just say she could buy a few cities and still have spare change.

She scratched her head at that, she wasn't too in touch with business and economics so she ran to the magical library that seemed to have books on everything she needed . After a night of studying she worked out the best way to start pushing money into the economy and that was by opening the markets and promoting people to sell their goods.

She started paying her guards and maids, her cooks and various other attendants in the castle. Lance had a field day with that because the last time he saw her she was hidden behind a stack of paper lamenting the difficulty in governing a country.

Her partners were useless and Lance even more so if it had nothing to do with medicine and fighting then the bastard would be off with Kate. Which was suspicious in its own because over the past month those two had become rather close.

" your grace.." she looked up from her papers from her layers catapult design to her fiancé. Ugh saying that made her cringe — she was afraid of Danny's wrath. At least she didn't fuck Clara yet, she was sure that would be the final nail in her proverbial coffin.

"Yeah ?"

"It's past time for dinner .. your grace missed it again. That's the third time this week. Your grace must take more care!" She raised an amused eyebrow at the chastisement.

"I thought I told you that when we're alone you can call me Alex, it's getting tiring hearing your grace all day" she pouted

Clara blushed " well Alex could you please take a break and eat something?"

Alex pushed away the papers at her desk and leaned back in her chair "you're such a good fiancé you know.. and I'm awful for not being able to give you what you deserve Clara." She sighed sadly
