A note,
Is all it takes,
To build a lifetime,
To etch a story.
A note,
Tucked under the pages,
Rusted in the folds of time,
Blot out the years in the outline,
Of dry coffee and tears.
A note,
Scribbled in the passing,
Broken strokes of half thought words,
alter the paths for eons ahead.
A note,
Misplaced into the pocket slips,
Could have set a tale,
Of unmet people,
Of untold lives.
What's a note,
But just bits of paper,
Lines of ink,
Strings of broken hearts,
And emotions for ink.
