I was smitten,

You smothered my heart with love,
From the first smile we shared,

Over our masked face!

Life felt so alive and carefree,
I would bring your favorite tart,
To our distanced dates by a mile, Exchanging our newfound Embraces!

You would eat the tart in a spree,
To show me your stories and art,

You would read aloud in style,
Your verse about us,

As my heart raced with the words!

We placed our phones in the tripod with glee,
To record everything,

It's going to be euphoric!!

When i allow you to have the last bite of my favorite food.
When i cover you with the blanket while you fall asleep from working.
When we wait for us while we're' working.
When we do the little things for each other because we like us.
When i appreciate your presence in my life.

When i hold your hand while crossing the road to make you feel safe.
When i try to cover you to protect you from the crowd.
When i walk on the roadside and ask you to move to the other side.
When we prepare meals for us after a hard day.
When i buy you your fav ice cream when you're upset.
When i sit quietly with you when you got nothing to say
When we understand each other.
When i turn up the volume when your favorite song plays.
When i want to watch your favorite series because of you.
When i remember the little things you told me.
When i read a book with you.

When you finally put some devotion into me
When you want to go to mandir with me.
When i protect you from evil eyes.
When you want to wear traditional clothes for me.
When you're the first person i come to and tell you about my day excitedly.
When i fall asleep while talking to you.
When i watch the moon with you.
When you become daily routine.
When i enjoy the mundane things with you.
When you cook for me whenever me meet.

When i rarely buy you flowers and write letters.
When i want to learn your daily routine.
When you make time for me from your busy schedule.
When you don't sleep until you are mad at me.
When we communicate.

When you know i overthink so you don't leave a chance to reassure me.

When I'm the first person you show your art piece to

For I've loved the rain too much
to learn to be patient.
