"So my sweet you're gonna go to work later??"

I ask, Adeline while putting on some apron.

"Yes, I have a shift later, 7 pm to 7 am."
She said, putting on an apron as well.

I walk towards her and wrapped my arms around her from the back.

"You're so amazing you know that??"
I said kissing the side of her neck.

"You're so sweet, baby."
She replied, savoring my hug. Then I pulled back to tie the Apron at the back.

"So what kind of cupcakes do you wanna make my sweet??" I asked her.

"Red velvet cupcakes, with cream cheese frosting."
She said grinning.

"It looks like you already have a plan in mind."
I said.

"Of course, I've been waiting for this day ever since I asked you to teach me."
She said beaming.

I kissed her forehead and spoke,
"Sorry I took so long."

She smiled and replied,

"It's ok, your teaching me now."
She said grinning.

"Now can we please make some cupcakes??"
She said giving me puppy dog eyes.

I laugh. She's so cute.

"How many cupcakes should we make??"
I ask.

She thinks for a second then replied.

"35 cupcakes. It's for the kids in the pediatrics ward and also for the other nurses in the hospital."

"Ok, then let's preheat the oven for 350 degrees, Fahrenheit and let prepare our ingredients."
I said.

I walk towards my two ovens and started preheating them.

"Ok my sweet, I want you to grab the cake flour, baking soda, and unsweetened cocoa powder."

I said grabbing the mixer.

"Done what else??"
Adeline asks after setting the three ingredients on the counter.

"The salt, and the white sugar."
I said while grabbing the eggs and soften butter against the fridge counter.

"And anything, else??"
She said, after grabbing the two ingredients.

"The sour cream, red food coloring, and pure vanilla extract.

I grabbed some big bowls, whisks, measuring cups for both dry and wet ingredients. A cupcake pan, and some cupcake liners. I also grabbed the sifter and measuring spoons.

"Now my sweet were gonna sift and mix the dry ingredients first."
I can see that Adeline is super excited.

I put the sifter on the bowl and instruct her.

"Use this, measuring spoons for the dry ingredients, and measure out 2 and a half cups of cake flour and put it on the top of the sifter."
Adeline grinned and started doing the task.

"Done what's next??"
She said proudly.

"Half cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and add it to the cake flour."
Adeline finished the tasks while grinning.

"Also add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of salt. And then start sifting them."
Adeline put the two remaining dry ingredients and started singing it.

After 10 minutes of sifting, I can see Adeline's side palms turning red because of sifting the ingredients.

"My sweet I can see your hands turning red, do you want me to help you??"
