I'm here in my parent's house right now, nervous as fuck.

I badly want them to accept Adeline because I'll be proposing to her soon.

I'm waiting for my mom to say anything.

I said, breaking the silence.

"Skye im disappointed in you."
My mom said.

I immediately felt small, sitting here in our living room.

I can feel my tears swelling up in my eyes.

"I'm disappointed because you didn't trust us enough to tell us about you and Adeline."
My mom added.

My eyes immediately went wide, as I heard what my mom said.

I didn't let my mom finish her sentence.

I immediately ran towards her and wrapped my arms around her.

My mom asks.

I nod furiously and reply.

I said sincerely.

"I'm so happy for you my Skye. Please can we meet Adeline formally as your girlfriend??"
My mom asks.

I immediately nodded.

"Yes, mama!! She's in D.C right now along with Skyler and Andy. How about we have dinner tomorrow, and I'll introduce her properly, to everyone."
I said enthusiastically.

"D.C?? What are they doing in there??"
My mom asks.

"We were having a double date with Skyler and Andy mama, at my Skyscraper."
I replied.

"Then that would be great, my Skye. I'll contact your uncle and auntie to meet them there tomorrow."
My mom said.

"Thank you, Mama. Thank you so much. I love you, Mama."
I said to my mother, gratefully.

I felt so relieved, now that we're out. Everyone is happy and supporting us. Adeline and I don't need to hide anymore.

"So are you gonna stay here my Skye?? Or are you going back to D.C??"
My mom asks.

"I'm going back to D.C, but im gonna change first because my stilettos are killing me."
I said to my mother, and she laughs.

"You still have some brown outfits in your room upstairs, now go and change, and I'll call your uncle and auntie."
I hugged mom one last time and started heading up to my room.

Then I saw my father grinning.

I immediately ran towards him and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you, Dad. I love you and mama so much."

My dad, kiss the top of my head and replied,

"We love you too My Skye. Now go and change so you can back to D.C. immediately and tell Adeline about the Good News."
My Dad said.
