Chapter 54 - I Do

~1 Year later~

Adeline

It's finally happening. After planning our wedding for a year, it's finally time. Skye and I are nothing but happy and contended ever since we moved in together in our new house.
Skyler and Andy welcomed their adorable and beautiful baby girl into this world 6 months ago. I've never been so happy and excited meeting my granddaughter for the first time.

After moving in together, Skye and I became inseparable. Skye would take me to her appointments outside New York. One time she even brought me to UAE because she has an important meeting there. I was Skye's number one priority and it's the same for me.

Skye and I would bicker and fight like a normal couple but after a few minutes of cooling down and talking, we made up. Skye always apologizes and sometimes I would if I knew that im the wrong one.

After a quit my job as a nurse at Alexandra hospital, I've helped Andy during her pregnancy and then labor.

Skye and I decided to have our wedding at Asteria Resort where we made our relationship official. I'm here getting my makeup done.

For the motif for our wedding, Skye and I decided to go with white and brown.
After a few minutes, the makeup artist finished doing my makeup. Then Andy entered the room, with her daughter Aliah in her arms.

"Andy!! Aliah!"
I greeted them and gently hugged them.

"You look so beautiful, mom."
Andy said, looking at me, happily.

My smile widens then I started they started styling my hair.

While styling my hair, Andy and I Talked while im getting hair done. After a few minutes it's done, then Cassidy walks in, holding my wedding dress.

"Adeline it's time."
Cassidy said, grinning.

My smile widens as I see my wedding gown. Zion outdid himself.

Cassidy help me put the gown on, then the veil, and with that I'm ready.

~30 minutes later~

Everyone is in their place, waiting for Cassidy's signal because the ceremony is about to start.

And then after a few more minutes, the ceremony is starting. Everyone started walking down the aisle, then it was my turn. Everybody stood up as I walk down the aisle.
Skye and I chose to have an intimate wedding, It's only the family and close friends who were invited.

As im halfway to the aisle, looks turn to look at me, and I immediately smiled at her. The moment that Skye looked at me, she immediately burst into tears.
Skye can not hold her happy tears as she looks at me while walking down the aisle towards her.

Then I arrived at the altar and Skye is still crying. I chuckle a little and gently wipe her tears using my thumb.

Skye and I faced the officiant hand in hand.

Then the officiant started,

"Please be seated."

Then all of the guest's seats.

Then the officiant spoke again.

"First, I’d like to begin by welcoming everyone and thanking every one of you for being here on this happiest of days. It’s no accident that each of you are here today, and each of you were invited to be here because you represent someone important in the individual and collective lives of Skye and Adeline."

Skye and I gently looked at each other, smiling.

"I truly can’t think of a better venue than Asteria Resort for an occasion that I know is not only monumental for the wedded-couple-to-be but for all of us who are lucky to know and love them as individuals but even more so as a perfect pairing.  The most remarkable moment in life is when you meet the person who makes you feel complete. The person who makes the world a beautiful and magical place. The person with whom you share a bond so special that it transcends normal relationships and becomes something so pure and so wonderful, that you can’t imagine spending another day of your life without them. For Skye and Adeline, that happened about A year ago when they met each other and became inseparable.
As a third-party spectator to their developing love, it was extremely clear that the two of them represent a perfect pairing because each of them complements the other so well. They balance one another, and while each of them are tremendous individuals on their own, together they are even better. And being better together, as a team, a unit, and partners in crime, is what has been many years in the making and ultimately leads us to being here today, witnessing their commitment to one another in front of those they love most.
