Brown sunlit hair blew softly at the Alpheus Patio.

"Izejkiel..."

Jennette frowned at Izejkiel.

Word spread fast about the Princess' disappearance and given his role of newly crowned Duke, he needed to help with the search. Although there were past reasons for his help.

Jennette was upset that Izejkiel was still not over Athanasia even though they were engaged.

She had begged Mister Whitney for her and Izejkiel to get engaged. It gave her a feeling of security. A family-- A family she could grow with him.

When the princess left running at the ball, Jennette was beaming ear to ear. After all, it was Izejkiel who had told her not to chase after her, so she thought that Izejkiel truly loved her at that point. Surely not with the way he was acting right now.

She bit her lips.

I wish I could be the princess.

Be the princess... the princess...

Her eyes lit up.

"Izejkiel, I'll be back soon! "

He didn't even say his farewells.

Grumbling, she repeated it again.

He looked up and nodded at her,

"Come back soon, have a safe trip."

Satisfied, she left the room.
Soon enough not to hear his sighs.

--Garnet Palace--
Oval Room

"We shall begin our meeting here." Claude was dressed in his fancy gown, seated at the front of the table. The dukes and marquesses sat in rows near him, followed by the counts and viscounts.

"We are here today to discuss the disappearance of my daughter, Athanasia."

"Oh the princess..." The nobles whispered amongst themselves.

Felix sighed, standing Claude.
This meeting was called to reassure the nobles and say that the Princess had played with a magic trick. They couldn't say anything other as they needed the public's help, which the nobles would try to manipulate.

Marquess Croatia raised his hand.

"If--to my understanding, her highness has a mage on her command. Must we ask him of her whereabouts?"

"Do you assume that I have not questioned those in the palace before calling you?"

"No--Your Majesty." His face bent down, gulping down.

A countess spoke up, "Then, pray, what has become of her highness, Your Majesty?"
She was from the opposing side, who had supported Anascutius in his rule.

Her lips formed a sly smile which was soon covered by a flap of a fan.

"We have concluded that Athanasia has discovered new limits with her magic, which the mage is finding someone compatible with him to go to her."

"Oh my..." They whispered.
"The princess truly is great, pray we say."

There were some glares of unevenness. They weren't satisfied with how he answered them.
"This scenario."
The countess continued, "Is quite similar. Oh what does it remind me of..."

The other nobles looked at her as she drew the fan away from her lips.
"Ah! When his lord Viscount Ilomy performed black magic"
The others gasped.
"The princess would never."
"Oh, but we have to consider her ill-fated roots."
"That commoner's blood. Ah, a pity."
"Did not his lord Ilomy have commoners blood?"

"SILENCE"

The countess smiled. This outrage Claude gave would only give more reason for them to believe her.

He glared at the countess, "The meeting is over."

The nobles rushed out, eagerly wanting to chat amongst themselves.

Felix gave Claude some tea.
"Calming. The Princess recommended it to you instead of alcohol." He looked at the open door Claude was staring at. "Countess Evergreen is trouble. Do you want me to take care of her?"

"No. That will only cause rumors. All the nobles today heard her statement and they will rush to inform the barons and those that weren't present."
