The sun rose and light filled Athanasia's room. She yawned and slumped again in bed.

"Ughhh~"  Lilian came to wake Athanasia up,

"Princess, you must wake up now, today is His Majesty's birthday after all." Lily smiled and pulled the princess up, tidying her up and dressing her with the most splendid dress and accessories. Hannah and Ces sighed happily, thinking "what a masterpiece, all that hard~ work was not for nothing." Athanasia hurried to Felix,

"Let's go to Daddy!" She exclaimed happily. She wanted to spend the most of her time with Claude before the banquet started at mid-day. Once the banquet started, Claude would have to meet guests at the throne room, which would cut off their time spend together.

"Yes Princess" Felix smiled joyfully and escorted the princess to Garnet Palace. As soon as they were there, Athanasia ran to Claude's room, and opened the door slowly incase Claude was still asleep. She hopped happily and found Claude on the couch. She sighed and watched him attentively. Claude woke up,

"Happy Birthday Daddy ❤✨!!!"

"What are you doing here so early?"

"I wanted to be the first one to wish you a happy birthday," She pouted and plopped herself onto an armchair.

"Hm" His mouth curved into a slight smile, "Felix, prepare a boat"

"Yes your Majesty." Felix informed the servants and quickly went back to the princess' side.

"Are we going boat-riding Daddy?"

"Yes," He opened the curtains, "One last thing Felix, remember to limit the number of guests.

"Yesss~" Felix groaned, thinking of how hard it would be to convince most of the nobles that they could not come.

"Athanasia, let's go." He rose up and left,

"Yes, Daddy!"

They got onto a grand boat and they started. Remembering the book from yesterday, she asked Claude, "Papa, do you miss Mother?" Speaking about her late mother always made the air around them sad. She wanted to avoid that. Claude answered not with words but a sorrowful expression. She sighed and smiled warmly at Claude. The princess knew what to do, she would go back in time . Seeing Claude's regretful, saddening, and suicidal  face was painful.

"Daddy, I want you to remember that no matter what happens, I'll always love you." Claude's eyes turned to her,

"Are you going somewhere?" He asked, turning his full attention to her.

"Ah...um...no..." Flustered and trying to hide the fact that she was actually going to, she lied, CRAPP!!! She breathed in and out trying to calm herself and plastered a fake smile on her face, to prevent any ranting.

The boat ride ended on an awkward note. Claude went to get dressed to greet the nobles and royals for the other kingdoms/empires, so did Athanasia. Though she rarely (aka never) attended any formal events, she knew she always had Daddy with her. The maids tidied her up and redid the hairstyle to a braided bun. They put a diamond crown on her head, signaling that she was the one and only true princess of the great Obelian empire.

Finally the banquet started.  She was nervous, just like she was at the Dèbutante. She gave Claude her hand and they entered together. Rows and rows of eyes stared at her as they made way. She flinched only to be reassured by Claude,

"Quite familiar to the Dèbutante hmm?" He snickered

"It...it's not!" She pouted at him, "Humph"

"Just relax. If you want to cancel it, then I can order them to go back and the banquet will be cancelled." He stared at the guests, giving them a deathly stare, the nobles bowed to them,

"Blessings and glory upon the suns (Claude and Athanasia) of the Obelian Empire." The guests all said in union.

It was a tempting offer, to completely cancel the banquet, just like she wanted. But all the guests and nobles who came today just to celebrate, it would be rude to them. She looked at Jenette, clinging to her father and smiled at Athanasia when she saw her look over to her.

"No- it's okay." Claude nodded and turned to Felix

"You should expect your head on the town-square if you dare leave Athanasia alone with these wenches."

Sweat rolled down Felix's head,

"Yes, your Majesty." He smiled pitifully, with more sweat drops rolling down and obediently tailed the Princess.

When they arrived at the thrones, they sat down on their respective thrones and the guests started to line up and give gifts.

"Your highness," Startled she looked over to find the young Duke of Alpheus and Jenette, (now Marchioness Margrita - a new title presented by Claude after all of Athanasia's nagging to give her it.) "May you grant us an audience?" Athanasia looked over and Claude and while he was busy meeting a King, she ran off with them.
