Sold Soul

Ten years ago, I sold my soul to the devil. She said that one day in the future she would come back to collect a favour from me. I thought that she forgot about the favour, apparently not. Here I am in my pyjamas, 6 o'clock in the morning, brushing my teeth with the devil in my bathroom asking for a favour. "I thought the devil didn't ask for a favour" I said in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Haha very funny" The devil said as she floated around above me before her head dropped down in front of mine. I stare at her blankly. "But no seriously, can you do it?" I hummed to myself, wondering if I should do her favour or not. She was asking a lot from me. "It's not like you can refuse me" She huffed, crossing her arms.

She did have a point, I can't refuse her, but she asked me. I might as well milk this. "True but you asked, so that implies I have a choice" I say as I spit out the tooth paste into the sink. "And I'm having a hard time working out if I should agree or not" I grab the cup of water next to the sink and take a galp, as I gurgle on the water the devil looks at me with the most irritated look I've seen in my life. I had to hold back the urge to laugh as I spat out the water into the sink.

The devil glared at me, her fiery red eyes filled with rage. She moved so she was behind me. "You will not refuse me, human! You will accept my request without thinking about it, you infant!" I couldn't help the smile that made its way onto my face. This seemed to piss the devil off more, sending small embers out the ends of her waste long hair. "You are coming whether you like it or not!" With that the devil vanished with a puff of smoke soon returning to pop her head pack through a small portal. "I will be picking you up at 8pm sharp. Make sure you are ready" With that she disappeared once again.

I waited a few more seconds after her leaving to make sure she didn't come back. When I was sure she wasn't coming back I lost my shit, I broke down onto the floor laughing hysterically. I did this for about five more minutes before I managed to calm myself down. I continued to lay on the bathroom floor in silence letting it all sink in. "Can't believe the devil wants me to be her girlfriend for family dinner in hell" I purse my lips wondering how I was going to get through the night.
