"Hey whore." I said as my fabulous best friend got in my car. "Hey pup." He said mockingly. "Did you hear about Samantha? She got pregnant and her husband,oh my,her husband nearly beat her to death." He said turning towards me as I pulled off.

"What.I thought John was her mate."

"No her baby daddy is. Remember,her parents forced her to marry him after she didn't find him at like...19."

"Is the baby okay?"

"The baby isn't the biggest worry. Turns out Jackson was her mate and he beat the lard out of the guy. He's in the hospital with a broken jaw,fractured skull,and he broke all his ribs but one. Plus he bent his left knee back" he said with an enthusiast tone.

"Isn't Jackson a warwolf...how do you even bend a knee backwards?" I said taking my eyes off the road. Kevin,my bff,snapped in front of my face.

"Eyes on the road doll face." He said laughing. We pulled into the school parking lot. The school was 3 stories high,like...100 acres since the school is owed by werewolves.

"Hey isn't that your new beta?" Kevin said as he got out the car. He pointed over to a girl on a motorcycle cycle. When she took of her helmet I noticed her. She was wearing black short,a band t-shirt and a really long shawl.

She looked a lot like her mother. Tan skin,light brown eyes.She had a soft face. her hair was a little messed up but she was...beautiful.

"Earth to Phoenix,hello,is the fire bird I'm the best or nahh?" Kevin said bringing me out my train of thought. "Yeah,yeah that's uhh...my future-"

"Mate?" Kevin said smiling. "What,no. I...I was finna' say beta. Where you get that idea from?" I said grabbing my book bag. Kevin rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"Whatever,we're going to be late to homeroom." He said. I closed my door and locked my car.
