It was just another slow day in the tower. You were lounging on one of Tony's luxury couches, staring at a book you didn't plan on reading.

The rest of the team were off doing their own things. You knew for a fact that Natasha and Clint were training, Tony was working on a new suit and Peter had gone home early this morning to finish up his homework.

Thor and Loki were arm wrestling on the kitchen table, the wood creaking underneath their force. Tony just replaced the table last week. But it looked like he was doing it again soon.

Wanda, vision, and banner were all playing some type of card game with each other. They had invited you, but you had declined. You weren't very good at card games. And who knew where Steve was. One of your closest friends and teammates.

Of course, you were only close because you were with his friend Bucky. And you had no idea where he was today. When you woke up this morning to find your bed empty and no note, you had assumed he was either in the shower or somewhere close by.

You were wrong though. He was nowhere to be found. You had asked Steve but he simply gave you a shrug as he slammed a fist into a punching bag. "Don't know, sorry Y/n."

You gave up after that, choosing to sit in the living area of the tower. Bucky was a big boy. He could take care of himself. And you knew that.

Looking around again, you stared out the window. Little white flecks of snow hit the side of the tower windows, melting soon after. That was one of the best things about being up so high. You had snow sooner than the people below. You've always loved winter, and when you lived at home you always went outside and sat in it for fun.

But being an Avenger now had its drawbacks. You rarely had time for fun like this. Only getting breaks every once in awhile. The others were attuned to it, but you were new. A few months new to the team. Within that time you barely had time to do anything by yourself. With training and the constant surge of missions all of the time.

Standing, you walked over to the large windows, placing a hand over the glass. Where your palm met the cold, smooth glass, ice formed, frost covering a small part of the window.

"Hey, Iceland. Don't break my windows." Came Starks voice from across the room.

You rolled your eyes at the nickname, before moving away from the glass. "I think I'll go outside today. Its snowing and I want to use my time wisely."

Tony nodded. "Thirty minutes. We have a meeting after. Caps orders." He sighed.

Yay.

                      ❄❄❄❄

After bundling up in your warmest looking clothes, you took the elevator down to the exit of the tower.

Tony had said that when you go out in cold weather, to look the part. Dress like how normal humans would in the weather. Which you hated doing. But it was for your safety. You weren't an avenger to the world yet, and you would.look like a threat If you just went around blasting snow and ice everywhere.

Since the cold never affected you, you always chose to dress in leggings and a tank top. You never chose to layer up in jackets and Jeans and scarves like you were wearing now.

The idea of being all restricted kind of bothered you in a way. What if danger arrived? You couldn't just do a quick costume change like some people you knew.

Slipping a pair of gloves on, you bolted for the doors, meeting a snow covered sidewalk and street. No cars were around, no people. Your type of weather. You could be yourself.

As soon as the coast was clear, you stepped into the snow, sighing. It felt like you were home.

And then it didn't. One minute you were watching the snow fall, and the next you felt something hit your back.

At first you thought it was a bullet, but then you would be dead, so you ruled that out quickly. When you turned, you watched as dark strands of hair disappeared around the corner of the tower, followed by laughter.

He was a man child.

You rolled your eyes and went after him, collecting a snowball off the ground while you had the time. "Bucky! I know that was you." You called after him, following the marked footprints he left behind.

Another ball of mush hit your leg from behind. You turned, finding Bucky hiding behind a snow wall, staring at you.

"So this is what you've been doing all morning? Playing in the snow?" You asked.

"Of course. What else would I be doing?" He laughed, before throwing another snowball with his metal arm.

It hit you square in the head, causing a headache to blossom as you fell to the ground.

"Oh shit. I'm sorry y/n!" He stood up, starting to walk over to you.

Laying there, you stared at the sky. He was going to get it.  As soon as he had helped you up, checking for any signs of damage to you, you smiled. "You used your metal arm. Not fair." You pouted playfully.

Bucky laughed. "I said I was sorry. Forgive me?" He asked, leaning in to kiss you.

Before he could get the chance, you removed a glove and sent a fleet of flying snow at him, watching as he was knocked to the ground and covered.

"Hey, not fair." He said, mocking your tone.

You laughed. "Now we're even barnes."

                       ❄❄❄❄

After digging Bucky out, you two had walked down the sidewalk together in the snow, his arm wrapped around your shoulders.

You had both bought hot chocolate at a nearby vendor, and you were enjoying the warmth it gave you as you drank it.

"Aren't you glad we had a Snowball fight?" He asked, smiling slightly.

You nodded. "I did, Mr. Barnes." You laughed.

He stopped with you, turning you to face him. "I'm glad, Mrs. Barnes." He said gently before kissing you, chasing the chill in the air away.
