High school sucked. Especially this week. It was nothing but finals and more finals, piled on top of homework you were supposed to do over Christmas break.

You were the only one left in the empty classroom, a stack of paper and books sitting on your desk. You were going to be late to the Avengers meeting if you stayed any longer.

"Need some help?" Peter asked, standing in the doorway of the room.

"No, I'm good Peter. Thanks though." You said, shoving your things into your backpack. Sure, your mom was going to be pissed about it, but at this point you didn't care.

"Don't we have a meeting tonight?" You asked as you passed him. He easily kept pace beside you, his bag on one shoulder.

You nodded and continued walking, ramping up your pace. You could either be on time to the meeting or you could miss out on new information and go home to catch up on homework before your mom became too involved.

And you definitely didn't need that to happen. Peter atleast understood that part.

Peter hummed as he walked. "So, are you going to be there? I'll save you a seat at the table if you want." He said, blushing slightly. "I mean, if you want me to."

A small smile from you. "I'd like that. But I have to choose what to do. I have tons of homework and my mom will kill me if I fail. I guess being a hero is hard when your a teenager in school." You sighed.

Peter laughed as the two of you exited the school, walking to the parking lot. "Well, save me a seat just incase." You told him as he walked down the sidewalk, joining the others on the bus.

"Hey kid. Get in." Came Tony's voice from behind you. He had pulled up in a nice car, wearing sunglasses.

Oh great.

"Look, Mr. Stark, I can't go to the meeting. I have school work that needs to be done." You explained as you gripped the seat with your hands. Your spine was flattened against the back of your seat, watching as the city raced by. Tony and his fast driving.

"Kid, you don't have a choice. This is an important meeting and if you want to be a part of the team then you have to act like it." He said, swinging his car into the garage of the tower.

You sat in the car for a moment, giving your stomach a moment to catch up to you.

Your mom was going to be pissed. You didn't call her or tell you where you'd be. Worry filled your eyes as you dug inside your bag for your cell phone.

"Don't worry. I told your mom I had you come in early for work." Tony said, opening your door.

"Thanks..." you said, getting out and joining him inside the waiting elevator. Tony pressed one of the mid-level floor buttons and the elevator ascended. You stood there, watching the numbers rise. "What's the meeting about?" You had asked him.

"You'll see." He smiled, before the elevator doors opened. The other team members were there and you only knew a few of them.

You had met Natasha, Clint, and of course Peter. There was Bruce Banner and Captain America as well. Who, to he honest, got on your nerves.

But there were others you hadn't been introduced to yet.

Peter, standing from his spot on the other side of the room, waved at you frantically. "Y/n! Over here. Saved you a seat." He smiled.

You blushed at the display of enthusiasm, walking over to join him. The others waited until you took your seat before they began talking amongst themselves.

"How did you get here so fast?" You asked him, whispering. Peter just smiled. "You know how." He said back, nudging your elbow. "I did have to make a few stops along the way." He winked.

With a roll of your eyes, you focused on what was happening. It looked like a long meeting this time.

It was 9 p.m when you walked through your living room door. The lights were all off and you threw your bag down on the floor. You were exhausted and it looked like your mom was asleep already.

Good. You needed the quiet to finish your homework before tomorrow. Tomorrow was the last day of school before break, and you were relieved for a moment before you remembered how much homework you had.

Groaning slightly, you knew you were in for a long night as you trudged up the stairs to your room, shutting the door behind you as you turned on the light.

Turning your head, you caught a glimpse of movement by your window. And you reacted.

Sending a blast of ice towards what ever was in your room, your heard a yell and a curse as the person fell to the floor.

"Y/n,it's me! Its Peter!" Came Peter's voice.

He was in his suit, his mask slightly pulled over his head where you could see his face. His hands were frozen together, and he sat there looking up at you. "Maybe I should have knocked?"

You rolled your eyes and went over, touching his hands and watching as the Ice melted. Peter stood and shook his hands, setting the mask on your desk. Near your homework stack.

You're completed homework stack.

"What? Did you-"

Peter laughed softly and looked a little nervous. "Y..yeah. I figured you were busy and i know you needed help. So I had Ned help with some of it. You're mom wasn't home, so I just came inside. Through your window of course."

Peter was shocked when you hugged him, hugging you back carefully. "Thanks Peter. It means a lot. How can I ever repay you?" You asked as you pulled away.

Peter laughed and cleared his throat. "A..date? Maybe?"

You blushed along with peter, biting your lip.

"Yeah, I'll go out with you parker. Just name a time and place." You smiled.

Peter looked relieved as he put his mask back on, crouching on the sill of your window. "I'll let you know at the next meeting." He said before vanishing, swinging out of your window and Into the night.

Maybe he should have done your homework sooner.
