Cedrick's P.O.V.

"Happy birthday man!" Nico greeted as soon as I went back to the hall from the labyrinth. Sarah chose to stay in the garden for she didn't want the atmosphere in here. She told me that she would just doze off to sleep in here just like what she did in the children's hospital.

"Where are the others?" I asked referring to our other friends. He gestured towards them with his head.

"They've been discussing some matters regarding our Christmas vacation, at Roxanne's lodge. Would be that okay with you?" He inquired worriedly.

I suddenly remembered that Roxanne invited me to spend Christmas with her and the others this coming winter break. I agreed to it that time because I knew that it would help me find something that would clear my mind on whether she was or not an accomplice of Richard.

Truthfully speaking, I still wanted to know everything behind that but I already didn't have any reason for doing so. Sarah and I were now okay so it meant that spending my effort in proving a hunch that was barely based on facts would be tedious and unnecessary.

For now, I would stop running after them. It somehow hurt my pride especially that I wanted to take my revenge on Richard or whoever ruined me in front of Sarah and the other people who saw the picture. I knew Roxanne could probably help me with it if she revealed to me her connection with him but it was too late for that. I finally had what I really wanted from the start and that was bringing Sarah and I's relationship back to normal.

"Maybe I'll pass." I replied to Nico after contemplating about it.

"Is this still about the picture? You know that she isn't at fault at this, right?" He asked rhetorically.

"I don't know, really, but I already told her that day that we need to end everything before things get more complicated. It would be the best if I stay away from her now." I explained. Nico shook his head disappointedly.

I wouldn't blame him because I knew that he just wanted to fix our friendship especially that we shared the same group of friends. It would be completely awkward if we wouldn't speak even a single word to each other but that was the best for now like what I said.

Nico suddenly stared at me confusedly. I gave him the same look for I also didn't understand why he was doing that.

"What's wrong?" I asked. He crossed his arms over his chest and narrowed his look at me.

"Isn't it that you still went to her place even after telling her to back off? Man now you're getting hypocritical." He laughed. I whacked his head for I was annoyed at his statement.

"She told all of you that I went to her place?" I inquired. He nodded in agreement. I grumbled in annoyance and he just laughed at me again.

"So it's true?"

"Yeah, but it is not because I'm making up with her though I presume that she thinks that way." I uttered. I told him my real intention about why I visited Roxanne last time. Including the reason behind it.

"Ced, I know that your intention is good but the action isn't at all. You're using her man. Even if she's at fault or not, you still have no right to play with her emotions. Remember that." Nico chided.

"Sure thing mother." I rebutted nonchalantly. It was his turn to whack my head which I found much painful that what I did to him. It was unfair!

Kidding aside, I knew very well that he was right. I, again, acted without forethought. I hadn't thought about Roxanne and just considered what I believed was right.

"Nico, I think I will still join you at Roxanne's place. A day or two there wouldn't hurt isn't it?" I said. He grinned at me.

It was a quick and sudden decision but I thought I should still oblige to the last promise I gave to her. I would treat it as my way of making it up for her especially after fooling her. Besides, she still became an important person in my life so I should at least do her a favor, even for the last time.
