I know we are going to fly but my stomach still churns when I glance down, seeing the beautiful lights glimmering under the night sky. "How long is the travel time? I feel sick."

"Not long, probably ten minutes." Betty's chipmunk voice answers.

"What? Cupid Santa lives nearby? I thought all Santa Claus lives in the North Pole."

"He is."

"Do you mean the North Pole is just 10 minutes away from Boston?" I shift from my seat to stick my head out as the city keeps getting smaller.

Butter chuckle. "Red, do you believe in magic?"

"I don't until I become an elf." I still remember my surprised face in the mirror.

"That makes two of us," Butter says.

I look at him and the steering wheel and back at him again. "And why are you still steering the car? Do you know the way because I don't see a road of clouds or a bright star guiding us?"

"Right. Stupid me. Out of habit I guess." He laughs, leans back and puts his hands under his head.

My eyes move again on the vast starry night sky showing the breathtaking milky way and the ghostly multi-colored flickering lights of aurora borealis from afar dancing across the sky. Wow! The view sends soothing waves to my body, making this ride easier to the stomach.

"Butter look! It's so beautiful." Butter's eyes follow my gaze and his eyes twinkle. It's a picture-perfect view but I realize I forget to take my phone with me. "Where is my phone when I need it? Do you have your phone, Butter?"

"No. I left it in my room."

I grunt and sigh. I was consumed and lost in the magical moments that for the first time since I got my phone, I went out without it. I stare at the magnificent view, save it in my memory and take a mental note to ask an artist to paint what I am seeing.

"It feels surreal to be able to see it with someone," Butter says, making me tear my gaze away from the northern lights. But as soon as it lands on his face, he shifts to look away. Betty decides to make a sharp turn as well which causes my head to collide with Butter's shoulder. "Ouch! Betty!" I massage my temple which bumped on Butter's hard and toned shoulder.

"Oops! Sorry! We're descending soon," she says, not a tiny bit of remorse in her voice.

"Are you okay?" Butter looks at me with worry painted on his gorgeous face.

I never knew guys with earrings make them even more attractive until him. Let's not stare at his pinkish lips that—

"Red?" His eyebrow is raised and a slow smirk appears in his lips.

I blush when I realize he catches me drooling at him. "Y-yeah I'm fine." When did I learn to stammer in front of a guy?

"We're about to land in a few." Thanks Betty for saving me from Butter's teasing look.

The starry sky is being replaced with a view of alps and villages covered in snow and adorned with warm lights. A rustic out of this world beauty.

"What do you call this village?" I ask as I see a few cars on the road or flying like ours, horse-drawn carriages, elves in different colors and structured that look like the gingerbread houses with rich clad brown exterior decorated with colorful candy-looking ornaments and snow covering the roof and parts of the windows and doors.

"This is the Serendipity Village of the North Pole," Betty says.

"Do they have a sugary and rich spiced smell? I could eat their houses," Butter chuckles.
