HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO GET A BOYFRIEND

I woke up early for school the next morning. Daniel was going to pick me up so I had  to hurry up. I locked the door and went out of the house and waited for him.

"Come on in,hurry." Daniel shouted.

Why does he seem so excited?

I run and sat in the car.Fixing my seatbelt,  I noticed Daniel was driving to a different direction.

"Umm...where are we going?" I asked.

"It's a surprise."

"Aren't we late?" I asked looking  through the window.

"No, check your time." He said.

"7:30."

"Yeah I know. I wanted to take you somewhere so I changed your time earlier yesterday."

"What? What time did I wake up? It's too early."

"I know...you would never wake up early even if I told you to."

"Aww, you're so sweet Dan." I said smiling and grabbing his arm.

We got to the comic bookstore and he held my hand and smiled. I smiled back at him. He got out and came to open my side of the door.

"Come out, will you?"

"Umm... what are we doing here?" I said laughing uncontrollably.

"To buy you all the comic books you want." he said dragging me out of the car into the store.

He held my waist and we walked like a couple into the store. He gave me the chance to choose all the books I want and he suggested some books also.

Daniel was like a brother to me. He knows all about my past and he comforts me every time I remember my mother and her death scene. He's one of a kind. The people who are hard to find. Apart from being annoying, he's the most sweetest person I've ever met.

"hey,let's get going." he said clapping in my face.

I held his hand again and we sat in the car and drove to school.We went to our classrooms on reaching the school ground. After school, I saw Caden looking at me strangely. He wasn't concentrating on Lisa but was staring right at me. I looked elsewhere and took my phone to call Daniel .

"I'll drop you." Caden appeared in front of me.

"What about Lisa?" I asked.

"She's going out with her friends." he explained.

"Oh okay but Daniel and I..."

He held my hand and dragged me into the car before I could finish my sentence. He looked kind of furious and I didn't know or understand why. He sat in the car and drove to the wrong direction. He clenched his jaw and increased his speed, he wasn't even looking at me. He was looking straight ahead.

"Caden, what is wrong with you? Stop the car. Stop the car right now, stop it now!!!" I screamed.

He stopped the car when we were far away. I didn't know where we were and I was breathing heavily.

"Who is Daniel to you?" He asked.

"What? Are you serious right now? You drove me here to ask that?" I asked angrily.

"I said, who is Daniel to you?" He asked again.

"How does that matter to you?  Huh? You can't just drag me into your car while you have a girlfriend and drive me to God knows where and..."

"Shut up! Who the heck is Daniel to you?" He yelled moving close to me and breathing heavily.

I got scared and became silent all of a sudden. He went out of the car and opened the door to my side and took of the seatbelt. I was unable to breath because I remembered the death scene of my mom. Tears started rolling down my cheeks.

"I'm sorry, please calm down, I didn't mean to do that" Caden kept saying while rubbing his hand on my cheeks and cleaning the tears.

"It's...it's okay, I...I'm fine. He's...he's my b...be...best friend, he's l...like a brother to me."I managed to say.

It felt like my dad was the one in front of me.

"It's okay, stop crying, I'm here for you, you'll be fine soon." He said easily.

I pulled his hand and put my seatbelt back on.

"I want to go home now." I said without looking at him after calming down.

He got up and went to his seat. He drove slowly this time. He intentionally put on music to change my mood which worked but I didn't let him notice. I tapped my finger on my lap several times because the music was powerful.

"I broke up with her." Caden said out of the blue.

I heard what he said perfectly but I ignored him. I lowered the window glass and looked outside till we got to my house. I was happy I'd get to have Caden but what about Lisa?

I got down and walked as fast as I could to the door.

"Rhiannon, can we talk?" Caden said, making me stop.

"About what?" I turned to face him.

"Please, about us." He said.

"Us? What about us ...huh?"

"Can we sit?" He asked.

I don't know why I can't seem to push him away no matter how I try.

He needs a slap right now.

No Cons, I can't slap him. His face is way too perfect.

"Okay, come in" I said sighing.

We went in together and I went upstairs to change my clothes. I came down to see Caden had buried his face in his palm.

"I'm listening to you" I said as I sat down.

"I'm sorry for what happened earlier but I want you to know that... I...you...you drive me crazy and... you're the one I want. I want to date you." He said looking straight into my eyes.

"What about Lisa?" I asked knowing perfectly well he had broken up with her.

"I don't like her , I like you." He said touching my cheeks.

I pulled back and slapped him hard on his face. He dared to look at me without regret and I hit him again.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!

Not now Cons.

"Get out, get out now!!"

He looked at me so surprised and I stood up and showed him the door in case he forgot where it was.

"Rhiannon please just listen."

"I've heard enough! Goodnight!!" I said pushing him out and closing the door.

I sat on the floor and cried bitterly. I got into the kitchen and took out ramen and prepared it. I took some chopsticks and went to my room after locking the doors. I took one of the comic books Daniel got for me and started reading. I was giggling in no time.

I know I'm gullible but I hate it when people, boys especially, try to take advantage of me. I can't take it anymore. I just can't.
