Lumine

Lumine contemplates over the presence of the red-headed dashing guy with an assumed permanent expression on his face. If a mora is dropped on the floor, a deafening silence must be heard. That's the situation they're in right now as the Cavalry Captain exited earlier, his primordial attention on those Mitachurls wrecking havoc to innocent bystanders.

It's quite awkward as Paimon says so shamelessly, not minding the presence of the guy as per usual. Lumine didn't have time to react of course.

The guy cleared his throat, an attempt to drown the overwhelming discomfort caused by Paimon.

"I am under speculation that you're singing a song unique in Teyvat's time to find your brother's whereabouts." Brilliant, diverging the topic made Lumine hopeful for a fruitful and meaningful conversation to stray away from Paimon's feedbacks that resulted in this situation.

"I do," Lumine nodded, confirming his assumptions. "Although it might be thick-faced of me to say as well that I'm also doing this to earn money."

"Well, Paimon agrees with Lumine."

"It seems." Diluc's attention darted away from them, touching his chin in a thoughtful manner. He must be thinking of something to prepare a response to Lumine's revelation. Though Lumine believed it wasn't enough for Diluc to ponder over such trivial thoughts. Lumine's the one carrying all the burden anyway, what's there for Diluc to be concerned about? He was too focused that his eyebrows were knitting together. The buzzing people which occasionally walks past them was nothing but a cricket humming to ease his nerves. Lumine finds it fascinating, although confusing. However, the ticking time bomb beside her with a runny mouth was doing its best to contain all its patience.

"Apologies," Diluc spoke softly, finally snapping in his trance-like state. "I'm quite having an embarrassing dilemma you need not to concern yourselves with." Paimon raised its voice, stating what dilemma should make him ponder for a whole awkward minute. Diluc addressed Paimon's inquiries by responding about where they should stay for the night and the accommodations. Especially a tour guide.

"You don't have to tho! We can manage ourselves just fine." Lumine declined rushly, not liking the idea of gaining favor to a stranger she just met. Yes, it was kind of him to think about her necessities and cause but it wasn't needed. But, Paimon was one of a different breed when it comes to opinions, survival skills and attitude.

"Lumine's just being Lumine. She's too humble to accept a kind man's gesture." Paimon said, drowning Lumine's voice to assert themselves. Whether if it's self-interest or both of their benefit, Lumine just dislike the idea.

"Very well, please follow me." Diluc then walked away, not giving room for rebuttals. As Diluc was meters away from them, Lumine glared at Paimon

"Paimon..." Lumine called, voice laced in disapproval, crossing her arms. Paimon just stuck their tongue in mischief. Paimon proceeded to float beside her ear and whispered, ignoring the glare it's receiving."A chance is an opportunity to grab to survive easier. Either way, it makes sense. Goodbye while I disappear myself for a while. Good luck with the man. Strike the iron while it's hot! Especially the mora, hehe."

With that, Paimon left her to deal with the guy, disappering without a trace. Lumine never knows where she goes anyway and the love for its mora was questionable and at the same time not. However, Lumine prefers it this way although the floating midget left her with a lonely time with Diluc. Lonely? More like awkward as heck. To be more on the positive side, she should be thankful that Paimon's unnecessary comments are prevented, now that Paimon's in hiding.
