"Mhm, I promise," I said nodding my head in response as I took hold of his pinkie while, wrapping mine around his, sealing our promise.

"CAW, ....... ....., DEAD! SHE DIED DURING THE CONFRONTATION WITH THE UPPER MOON ..." Her Kasugai crow informed. I rushed around the fortress, desperately trying to find her. As I arrived, I saw her body lying on the floor. She was Without thinking I dashed to her severely injured and her stomach was pierced. Without a care in the world that there was still a demon here.

"......., you promised. You promised we would be together. Why?" I sobbed.

"No! Don't leave me! You can't leave me! Please ....... I love you!" I cried. A silent stream of tears rolled down her cheek. One apologizing, and another telling the other to hold on. I got up and picked up my sword as I dashed at the demon who made ....... suffer like this.

"..... Breathing, ..... Form: ........ ...." I whispered while attacking him. I continuously slashed at him as our weapons collided. The enemy threw ice shards at me. The minute I dodged them, he threw more.

"Total Concentration, ..... Breathing, ........ Form: .... ...." I said as the attack from the enemy got deflected. I dashed toward the demon with complete anger and rage. I had nothing but hatred toward this demon. After dashing at him, I went for its neck but it pierced my stomach.

"Give up. You'll never beat me." It said with a devilish grin.

"Never. Not until... I... get... revenge," I breathed. I coughed out blood as placed my sword on his neck while managing to cut it slightly.

"I won't... die... not... until... I... kill you," I struggled to say. The deeper my sword cut into his neck, the deeper my wound got as I coughed out more blood.

I finally managed to cut off the demon's head but it isn't over yet. Not until I manage to get us help. I limped over to ......., picked her up, and put her on my back. With my remaining strength, I started making the long trip to the butterfly mansion.

'It's getting harder to see. I can barely breathe. Every limb in my body is aching. It hurts to move. But I have you keep going. For her sake. I can't give up now.' I suddenly collapsed.

"Please don't push yourself for my sake .......-san. I went into battle fully knowing I was going to die." She said. I turned to face her.

"No, it's all my fault. I should've never left you alone." I sat up and brought our faces together letting our foreheads touch as flames surrounded us.

"It isn't your fault. Don't blame yourself. I never regret falling in love with you. Please don't pin the blame on yourself." She said with a genuine smile.

"So this is the end for us huh?" I sighed while putting a smile on my face.

"At least I get to die in your arms." She answered. I gently pressed my lips against hers and pulled away a while after.

"I love you... Shinobu."

"I love you too... Tomioka-san"
