If anything, Bin never likes to be proven wrong. Even on trivial things. But he has to admit defeat tonight.
Ye Jin was right to hide the gown from him. He wouldn't know what he would do if he saw her in that gown yesterday. He wouldn't leave her on the roadside, for sure.
Damn, that gown—
"Bin? Are you there? Bin!" Woo Sung's voice is finally gotten into him after several tries. Bin turns to his friend blankly. His whole being is still with The Acting First Lady. And who blames him?
The gown is quintessentially her.
It's feminine.
It's classic.
It's elegant.
It's sexy.
It's perfect.
It makes him wants to rip it out of her. Preferably soon.
"I will greet Mr. President." Ignoring Woo Sung, Bin stands straight and looks at Ye Jin's direction again.
He loves that her eyes linger on him. At least, he knows he's not alone in feeling like this. Like a helpless moth. Enticed by her flame.
Always seeking, always finding.
Truthfully, at this point, the only thing that prevents him from pursuing her is his own mind. And his own desire. And his own goal.
Does he even have time for this?
No.
He can't afford to have a relationship right now. Not when presidential election is coming fast. Getting involved with a high profile woman like her is something to be avoided, at all cost.
"But you don't let someone like Son Ye Jin get away." He mumbles while heading over to where Ye Jin is. At the end of the day, he is a man potentially running for President of South Korea, not dead.
It's about time they do something about this attraction between them. They're adults. They can engage in whatever relationship they want. As long as both parties have the same expectation.
And the last time they talked about it—
She gave a sign that she didn't want to get married, either. Or at least, that's the last thing on her mind.
Maybe it's not as complicated as it may seem.
His steps falter as he loses connection with Ye Jin. He tries to seek for it once again and curses when he can't. Someone is on his way.
Gong Ji Cheol. Must he be in the way of everything he wants?
His stomach churns with jealousy as he sees him touches her. From here everything seems so natural, Ye Jin leans in to him for his strength and gives him her smile.
Bin stops and observes the interaction in front of him. Despite meeting her only twice, Bin knows her smile. She put it on display for him a lot.
Her shy smile whenever she felt self-conscious. Her mouth widened just a little and her eyes couldn't meet his.
Her affectionate smile directed to her father. Her eyes shone with her love for him, plain for the world to see.
The way she smiles to Gong Ji Cheol actually puts him at ease. Because that smile—
It's a polite 'Thank You' smile she gave to her security details. So far from the flirtatious one she granted him time and time again.
He can imagine it in his head. Her head slightly downturns, her eyes stay with him and her pink lips curve suggestively. He'll do anything to see that smile anytime soon.
