Madison's POV

I sit in my room. Listening to my music. Listening. That is all I do these days, is listen.

Aubrey said that I could talk to her but I can't. I can't talk about anything anymore. I moved in with her because my parents finally got a divorce. I don't want to live with either one of them, so her family said I could live with them. I love Aubrey's family, don't get me wrong, but that means that I have to go to school with her. She goes to a Christian school.

My first day is tomorrow. This is going to be great.

When I walk into the school I see middle schoolers talking everywhere in the hallway. It is not very big at all. The hall is about 150 feet long, there is a library at one end with a couple class rooms. There are also 3 class rooms in the hallway. Lockers line the spaces on each side. There are also a few window, which is nice because it makes it nice and bright.

Today is Wednesday and for this school that is a Chapel day. The day where we worship and have a pastor speak. I have been living with Aubrey for awhile now so I don't know what to think about any of this any more.

I am having a mental battle about what to think and then I run into someone and they knock me down. I look up and find that it is a very tall boy. He asks me if I am ok and extends a hand out to help me up.
