"Dem, I'll go buy the cake, get the music ready!" Erin said, putting on her turquoise beanie and the scarlet scarf.

She headed out, without waiting for a response. Erin knew Demears would be ready, his dorkiness came with its own set of benefits.

The town was as lively as any other day, that is, practically ghost town. Someone had done the courtesy of hanging a few lights here and there, but maybe because of low budget, couldn't do much and put some at far off points. By some? Very few.

'But hey, anything is better than nothing. We might just celebrate a late, snowy Halloween. As long the spirit exists.' she thought, shrugging internally.

The market was bustling with townsfolk buying winter clothes and/or decorations. Erin could see new and temporary stalls opened in between the permanent buildings, and the sellers calling out to attract the customers.

She spotted a souvenir shop at a quieter corner, and got interested.

"Well, I can always buy a few gifts." She mumbled, as she made a beeline for the stall.

It was a gore themed store, but the items were just so random, and cheap and well-made, Erin couldn't resist going through all of them.

"Ooh flashing light ball set! This would be nice for Helen. I'll consider this as for Jay's part as a whole, lol Jay, tough luck."

She spotted a few remote-controlled cars, but the price was still excessive for her.

"Hmm..I wish I could take one for Dem and me, but won't be much useful."

She rummaged through a few more items.

"An ukulele this inexpensive? Oh yes, Ajax we need a performance from you some other day."

Erin took the ukulele and the set and looked around. There wasn't anyone there looking out for the stall it seemed.

"Ow, I hope no one stole your stuff." She said, as she placed the money on the counter and made way to her favorite bakery, putting the two in a packet.

She entered 'Allender's', the best bakery, and perhaps the only 'real' bakery in her town. The fresh, sweet smell of desserts and the wind chime ringing peacefully lifted her mood from however it was. She went straight to the counter and viewed the products.

"Ooh they have Blueberry Chiffons! And Citrine Cakes! Damn, I arrived just in time."

Erin went over to the person at the counter, and placed her orders.

"Three pieces of Citrine cake, and two pieces of red velvet cake please! Oh, and a cup of Hot Chocolate."

"That would be..oh hey that's you, Erin, hi there!"

"Heyo Ms. Martha, enjoying the season?"

"Yes! It's going great hon, but I think you're here buying treats for your friends?"

"Yeah, gonna have some sort of a celebration."

"Ooh nice. Come with me for a second." Martha said, as she took the package and went over to the washroom area.

"Here, have this. Consider it as an early Christmas gift! I'll pay for the items, so celebrate."

"Aw thank you Ms. Martha!" Erin replied, with a big grin, as she slurped the hot chocolate.

After finishing the drink, she took the packages and went on her way home.

Oh and the name of the bakery? It's inspired from my bakery from the game 'Bakery Story'! Sadly, I had to leave it ToT.
