Leon's POV

The early morning light felt good across my face, warming it as I left the small town I had called home for the last five years. Who was I kidding, it was more of a village than a town, too small to be considered one but still calling themselves that. They could be quite nice but they became wary when they didn't understand something, and I had started to fall into that category so I'd decided it was time to move on. Not that leaving anywhere was even easy for me, since I couldn't really see the roads. Or obstacles. Or anything in general.
Maybe I should have started off with saying that I'm practically blind. I say practically because at night I have the wonderful ability of being able to see a few things, if not just a general out line of things. Hm, maybe I should just start at the beginning of everything.
My name is Leon. I probably have a last name, but I have a few..memory problems along with being blind. I've traveled around a lot even without my sight and I'm quite good with navigating most of the time and I'm pretty decent with self defense.
I've been told what I look like before, and I have vague recollections of what I looked like as a child as well. I apparently have longish chestnut brown hair that hangs just over my eyes so most people can't see them which I like. My eyes are apparently as pale as the sky on a clear day, with a slight glaze over them almost making it appear that I'm not focused on anything instead of being blind. My body is pretty toned and pale despite being outside a lot, and I never seem to lose my youthful looks. The last part is what caused me to move around so much. And why I had no idea how old I was, since I had long ago given up trying to figure out how long I've lived.
I'd decided it was time to leave before someone got a bit too curious about my never changing looks and decided to investigate more, since that was far too troublesome. So I had left at dawn and that's where this all began.

I've been walking for ages and I know I'm somewhere in the forest on the outskirts of the village. Rumors had it that some terrible monsters inhabited the woods, preying on the innocents who entered it to explore. I don't believe in things like that, such stories were created to keep young children out of trouble or from getting lost. So why worry about something that was for children? As long as I stayed away from the wolves I had heard howling before then there would no issues, and with that mind set I proceeded deeper (I believed deeper anyway) into the forest of rumors.
Since if was so dark here, I had a general sense of what was around me which was useful as I navigated my way around the giant trees which surrounded me. I've been walking for ages now, only stumbling a few times but I'm starting to get the sense that someone or something is following me. I pause to listen yet again but I hear nothing except the sounds of nature, nothing to give away the one following me. I continue to move, a little faster know starting to guess at the idea of wolves until I trip over a rather large tree root and go sprawling onto the floor.
"Ugh...my ankle..." I hiss lowly as I grip the offending limb for a moment before slowly standing and continuing. I don't want to risk staying still and being captured and killed by wolves, thanks but no thanks.
With that cheerful thought on my mind I start to make my way forward a bit faster, aware that the sunlight was getting a bit clearer up ahead. Was it a clearing, or the end of the forest..? Neither of those was proven correct however as I fell forward once again and this time landed against something cold with lines and designs in it. What was a giant fence doing way out here..? That was my first thought before realizing that if there's a fence, there's a gate and that could protect me from the wolves while I rest. I can be so smart sometimes~!
I start to make my way to the left as I keep my right hand against the cool bars of the fence, trying to alleviate some of the pain I was feeling in my ankle as I searched for a way in. Soon my effort was rewarded as I found the gate and unlocked it before opening it and entering what I suppose is some sort of garden. I've been able to smell flowers for a while, it all feels so relaxing and unknown to me. But then again who would imagine finding a place that was as seemingly large as this one inside of a forest?
After double checking the locks I made my way towards the scent of the flowers, which I now realize are roses. "Mm..." I murmur as I sit beneath one of the fragrant bushes, becoming more and more relaxed as I stretched out a little and laid down. If someone did live here, who would mind a poor little think like me? Especially if I stayed right where I was....it was with these thoughts that I started to drift off to the place where all of my memories gathered. Maybe staying here would be doable if I looked around some more later....
