Chapter 7

POV Leon

I listen to the larger male leaving the room, feeling more than a little puzzled. "How did he..." I trail off softly, too many questions in my mind for any proper answers at the moment. I hear a few soft movements and turn my head a little to look down.
"Sir, I shall be leading you to your quarters so you can rest. Another servant shall help tend to your ankle." Lumiene speaks very politely, moving to gently tap my hand so I pick him up and nod.
"Alright, please lead the way." He starts to give me directions on where to go, and warns my of the stairs and things in my way. As I walk I think about a few things that are puzzling me. How did the beast know that I had hurt my ankle? He hadn't seen me walking and I thought I had concealed it quite well... And did he really not remember his name at all or did he just not like to be reminded of it? But most importantly...why did he call me their "guest"?
"Sir...? Leon!" I hear Lumiene's voice and look toward the sound of his voice.
"Sorry, I was thinking. What were you saying?" I blush slightly, how rude of me to be ignoring someone who was kind enough to bring me to a place where I could rest. I'd worked hard yesterday to make sure everything was organized for when I left, and I had left quite early, before dawn so I was feeling quite exhausted.
"Oh, do not worry I can tell you are tired sir. But we have arrived at your room, it is just to your right." I turn in toward the right and gently push the door open once I find the handle. "A description of the room would help you, no?" I can tell there's a bit of a smile in his voice(does he have a face I wonder...) and nod as I enter the room. "Well, if you continue walking a little more to the right then you'll reach the bed, it's quite large and has a lovely canopy. There's 2 large windows past the bed, and a night stand on the side closest to you." I had been moving forward and bump into the bed a little, I take the chance to sit back down and relax a bit as I listen. "There is a wardrobe in the corner, nearest to the window, her name is Claudette. She was the tailor here, and loves clothes of all kind. She also is quite a good nurse so you have nothing to worry about with your ankle." He says quite cheerfully as I hear him hop off the bed and start to make his way back toward the door.
"Thank you very much Lumiene, and please thank your master for me. I think he is quite kind to allow me to rest in such a nice place." I say as I smile a little bit, and it is true. Who just lets a stranger stay in their house?
"Of course sir Leon. Now, rest." With those final words I hear the door click shut. So I turn my attention toward the general area of where this miss Claudette could be.
"Um..hello, Claudette right? My name is Leon..." I trail off a little, it can be unnerving talking first. I can never quite tell if there's anyone paying attention but my fears this time were quickly put to rest.
"Hello there sweetie~ you got my name right, and it's a pleasure to meet you!" I can hear a louder thumping noise and feel something quite near the bed. "Now, Lumiene mentioned something about your ankle, so just pass it on over to me and you'll be right as rain!" I silently lift up my ankle, and I feel a slight tugging on my shoe which makes me wince. "Sorry darling, looks like it's quite a bad sprain.." She murmurs as I feel something cool wrapped around it and fastened. "There you go, but I'd say put minimum weight on it. Now, you rest up, it'll do you good."
"Thank you Claudette. I think I'll do what you said and get some rest..." I smile a little and pull off my other shoe before shedding my loose shirt and the pants I had been wearing for the past day, leaving me in my underclothes. I'd rather be basically naked than have dirty clothes ruin the soft bed I was resting on.
The silence in the room was not overwhelming, but rather soothing to me. So rather than let my thoughts overwhelm my mind and prevent sleep, I relaxed more and slowly started to drift into a deep, dreamless sleep. One that was desperately needed after the long day I had been experiencing. My questions could wait...

[] hello~! I'm not sure this is my best chapter yet, but I felt that I needed to get a new part out. I'm working on the next chapter as well, but i have my exams and papers due in a little bit so it will be around two weeks, hopefully less before I update it.
On another note, if I made another version of a Disney tale, such as Aladdin and his genie, would anyone be interested in reading it?
