Chapter 3

--ring--

It was already break time, Maddie was all alone in her seat until 2 girls appeared in her view "excuse me you're sitting in our spot blue freak" the blond girl said. The light brown girl agreed "yeah like- do you mind sitting on another seat? Two fang freak.."

Maddie glared "oh I'm sorry I didn't see your name on it brats," she said feeling confident. "Oh, how rude.. didn't your mommy teach you how to be nice to people?" She grinned slightly. The blond girl then spoke "oh right we all know you don't have a mom! Ahahah! Maybe she left you because you were a mistake!"

Both of the girls giggled, and Maddie is about to burst out her tears "aww look at that the freak is going to cry, what a crybaby!" Maddie almost snaps but then she was saved by Nigel, he defended her.

"Hey, it's not nice making fun of people like that Aubrey!" Aubrey the blond girl didn't even stop "why not soft boy? You and your other freak friends are all the same!" As Aubrey's close friend was the light brown hair, her name was Bianca.

Nigel growled and his eyes turned to a pure rage of his hatred. Aubrey and Bianca backed up 2 steps, they both are feeling a bit scared "you're just bluffing orange fruit!" Bianca teased. Nigel's pupils began to shape into thin then he stung Bianca using a sleeping venom.

Aubrey freaked out "Bianca are you okay?!" Bianca fainted and her eyes were shut. Aubrey carried her with a piggyback ride position and gently carried her knees. Nigel talks to Aubrey softly "it's okay I only knocked her out it will wear off in 5 minutes, it would be better if you bring her to the nurse's office.."

Aubrey rolled her eyes "whatever! Just stay away from our sight freaks" she grunts and left. Nigel heard Maddie sniff "hey it's okay I get bullied sometimes-" Maddie cries "no you don't understand! They talked about my mom! Don't you think that my mom left me out there?!"

Nigel doesn't know what to say "they are just bullies don't believe any single word what they say!" Nigel said with plenty of positivity coming out from Maddie's chest. "Heh.. thanks Nigel.." Nigel braids her hair. "Look if you keep wondering if your mother abandoned you? No, she would never every mother loves their own son or daughter so much, they tried their best to keep every of their child safe.. she didn't abandon you, but she's somewhere out there."

Nigel said, all of his sentences made Maddie cry with tears of joy, she hugged him quickly (almost like Nigel felt like he was about to choke-) he hugged her back. "Thank you, Nigel.. you're like a little brother to me.." Nigel and Maddie stopped hugging.

Nigel chuckled "hey! We know you're 20!" Maddie looked up "I know but except for pretty boy, i didn't even ask what his age is.." Nigel ate his mashed potato. "hey *muffle* why don't you try to *muffle* text him? I mean he gave you his number and you too, you gave him your number right?" He swallowed down the food he was chewing.

"You're right!" Maddie said brightly "he did give me his number while it was lunch break," Maddie said, she pulled out her phone and typed PB's number from her contact messages. There was one user who popped up it was PB's profile picture and his name pretty boy on it, she stays calm and tried to text him.

Text:

Maddie: hey is this your PB?

Pretty boy: yeah is this you Maddie?

Maddie: yep, I wanted to ask how old are you?

Pretty boy: I'm turning 20 on my birthday this month.

Maddie: when is it?

Pretty boy: it's December 27th 2001

Maddie: oh! My birthday is close to yours too! Mine is December 28th 2001

Pretty boy: that means you and I are close?

Maddie: think so? But thanks for telling me about it! I gtg

Pretty boy: alright two fangs.

Phone shuts off

Maddie then looks at Nigel "so what did he say?" Maddie smiles "he's turning 20 this month on December 27th! And that means my birthday will be celebrated at 28! By the way, where is Zoe?" Nigel finished eating and puts back his lunch box in his bag.

"Oh, Zoe? She just went to look at the plants, she said she'll be back when the school bell rings" Maddie grinned "plants? She's studying plants now?" Nigel nods "yeah! I mean you know Zoe tries out new things especially when she's smart."

Maddie touched her hair. "Yeah" the bell rang, and Maddie got up the same as Nigel. They both went to class and saw Zoe putting a piece of blue plastic ice in her nose. Nigel was shocked "Zoe are you okay?!" Zoe swayed "no no I'm okay I just tripped on the floor and the nose on my front broke it.."

Maddie felt bad "ow that must have hurt- but can you still breathe finely in your nostrils?" Asked Maddie. Zoe sat still with her head rotated upside. "Nope not really, well- a little bit" Zoe responded feeling hard to talk with her head upward.

"Just don't mind me" Nigel sat next to Zoe (as usual to their sitting arrangement) and Maddie too. Pb got there in time and his hair was wet, he used his napkin and brushed it on his hair. The other fangirls were staring at the handsome and popular boy, they screamed loudly as PB felt so uncomfortable and sat next to Maddie on the back.

Maddie was frozen back there, PB looked so handsome and his blue eyes sparkling. Maddie looked at PB "what's up with the wet hair?" Pb grunts "some other girls were having fun until they accidentally splashed the water in me, they apologized and I let them slip. Although for my clothes, it got wet so apparently I changed that was until I heard a message vibrating on my phone"

Maddie laughed "oh yeah other girls could be really messy when they always get to big trouble when they took it way too far.."
"well you know when I left you guys without saying goodbye, about staying with the other of my kind of people? Kayla the girl with the red bow, talks too much and I couldn't even sleep when she talks about the meanest things."

Maddie and PB chuckle they both went silent and listened to the teacher.
