"That was fun, but we must get to first period quickly." I instruct the newcomers and my forgetful beta friends.

"Of course, Nana. You act like such a goody two-shoes here." Yukhei says.

"Oh? How did our Nana act in China?" Chenle asks curiously.

"Oh, he was wild. Sneaking out, parties every other night, he even lost his v-card there." Renjun explains.

"Yah yah yah! You never told us any of that! How the hell did you get straight A's?" Donghyuck asks exasperatedly.

"I'm just smart like that." I respond.
"Would you look at that? Time for class!" I said quickly as I checked my non-existent watch, trying to escape their questions.

We all walk through the threshold of our classroom and take our respective seats.

"Welcome back, class! We have two new students joining us today. Introduce yourselves." The teacher states as she gets settled.

"Hi! I'm Wong Yukhei, but you can call me Lucas or Xuxi. I'm from Hong Kong, China." Lucas states first with a smile.

"Hello! My name is Huang Renjun. I'm also from China." Renjun says next, also smiling.

"Alright, you can pick-" The teacher starts but is cut off by the classroom door slamming wide open.

"Sorry, I'm late." The student says in a bored tone.

"Lee Jeno, how many times have I told you not to slam the doors! Take a seat, and you have detention." The teacher scolds.

"As I was saying before, I was rudely interrupted. You boys can pick any seat you want." The teacher says sweetly.

"I CALL THE SEAT NEXT TO JAEMIN-AH!!" They both scream at the same time.

The whole class laughs as they start arguing over who gets the seat.

"I've known Jaemin longer. I'm sure he'd much rather sit with me." Renjun starts.

"You know time doesn't matter. I'm the better option." Yukhei attacks back.

"Why don't you ask Jaemin?" The teacher suggests.

"Jaemin-ah, you would choose me over this six-foot dork, right?" Renjun asks.

"I am not a dork. You wouldn't want to sit with a bully, would you, Nana?" Yukhei responds.

"You guys do know there are two seats, right?" I asked them.

"I WANT THE RIGHT SIDE! YAH! STOP COPYING ME!!" They speak in unison.

"Renjun, right. Lucas, left. Problem, solved. Hotel, Trivago." Chenle states loudly.

They ended up having to go with Chenle's suggestion. Renjun boasted the entire time, and Lucas sulked.

"Come here, you big baby." I said softly as class had started. I open my arms to comfort Yukhei. He smiles immediately and hugs me as tight as he can without breaking my ribs.

Class dragged on with Renjun and Yukhei, pulling me from each other's embraces, and I just gave up. There's no stopping these two.

The bell rang to signal that lunch break started. I squeal in excitement. Finally, a break from these two clowns.

Or so I thought. Yukhei picked me up from my chair and insisted on carrying me to lunch. Renjun took all of our bags.

These dudes literally treat me like a kid. Sometimes, I don't mind. Right now, I mind very much.

As we walk down the hallway, all eyes are on us. I hate attention. Especially from people I don't know.

"Yah! Jaemin-ah, you never let me carry you! This is unfair." Donghyuck whines.

"That sucks for you. He's ours, kid. We get that privilege." Yukhei says smugly.

"Ok.... I'm going to need someone to explain what type of dynamic this is." Chenle says.

"Renjun and I are dating. Jaemin is special to us. You two can add yourselves in as special people as well. Y'all are cute, too." Yukhei explains.

"Does that mean you'll treat us like how you treat Jaemin?" Chenle asks again.

"Yeah!" Renjun responds excitedly.

"Well then, hell yeah. From this day forward, we are your top priority, Jaemin-ah." Donghyuck says excitedly.

Great. Now, I have two "families", for lack of better words, to deal with.

Suddenly, the cafeteria gets louder than usual, and there's a commotion at the entrance.

"Let's get out of here. It's too loud." I said.

They all nod in agreement, gathering their things. As we push through the crowd, someone bumps me, and I drop my notebook. As I went to grab it, someone stepped on my hand.

"Motherfucker!" I said loudly as I quickly drew my hand back to examine it. The cafeteria suddenly got really silent.

"What did you just say to me?" A cold voice husks out quietly.

"Nobody was talking to you. Mind your fucking business and watch your fucking steps." I said angrily as I snatched my notebook off the floor and begin to walk away. Someone grabs my injured hand and holds it with a tight grip.

"MOTHERFUCKER! What the hell! Let me go, you dumbass. First, you wanna step on a bitch, then you wanna break a bitch hand. I'm about 2 seconds from biting you." I said angrily ranting seemingly to myself. I look up and make eye contact with the douche responsible for this.

Lee Jeno. What a fun surprise.

"Are you insane? Who do you think you are talking to me like that?" He asks seemingly calm but his eyes are fuming.

"Last time I checked, I'm Na Jaemin. And I think I remember saying I was gonna bite you if you didn't let go. So Let. Go." I said venomously.

He just stares at me and I count to 3 in my head. He's still holding on and so I bite him. I am true to my words.

"Ow! What the hell!" He yells, letting go of my hand finally.

"He told you he would and being the fool you are you didn't listen. Come now, Jaemin-ah. We'll go to the nurse and fix your hand, yeah?" Renjun says as he grabs me by the waist. I nod in response using my non-injured hand to flip Jeno off.

The rest of day goes normally. I get through with school, go home, finish homework, and then cook dinner.

"What happened to your hand sweetie?" My mom asks gently. I stared down at my bandaged hand.

"Lee Jeno stomped on it trying to be an arrogant bitch." I replied. She gasps and begins frantically searching for something.

"Put a coin in the swearing jar." She states.

"Seriously?" I whined, already reaching for a coin. She just nods. Once I put the coin in the jar, she asks me what I did about Jeno.

"I bit him." I replied blankly.

"But why?" She asks confused.

"After stepping on me, he had the audacity to grab my injured hand and he wouldn't let go, so I threatened at first, but he still didn't let go so I bit him as I am a man of my words." I said, uninterested in this entire conversation.

She nods understandingly.

"I heard Yukhei and Renjun go to your school now. Stick with them, yeah? They're like parents. Very trustworthy and responsible" She says sweetly, kissing my cheek before walking away. I hold back a giggle. "If only she knew." I think to myself. As I continue with dinner, I keep thinking of the Jeno situation. Why do hot people have to be such asses? They should take lessons from me.

I sigh. This is gonna be one long school year.
