"Dad! I didn't mean it like that!" Jaemin attempted to clarify for the umpteenth time as he sat in front of his mother in the kitchen. All of his friends had been sent home, Jeno and Snowball excluded. Jeno sat beside him and Snowball roamed the kitchen counter.

"Then tell us how you meant it, Jaemin." His mother prompted sweetly.

"He came over because Snowball would not rest or let him rest and he assumed I could fix it because me and Snowball are just cool like that but it was so late and we had school in like 3 hours and since he brought his things, in case he would be traveling house to house before school, I told him he could stay and we went to sleep, like actual sleep, in my bed." Jaemin explained with gestures and pointed looks at his dad.

"Why were you two up so early?" Mrs. Na asked Jeno and Jaemin. That question made them pause for a second.

"Well~ Dad have a seat. Like on the other side of the counter in front of me." Jaemin giggled anxiously. He glanced at Jeno, who was mentally shitting bricks but appeared calm, just to see if he was prepared.

"So, before you get mad, hear me out. It's really nothing bad and he was really nice about it and he didn't hurt me or force me or anything, you know." Jaemin rambled on nervously.

"Get to the point, Na Jaemin." Mr. Na muttered impatiently, arms crossed smugly. He looked like one of those mafia men in the movies interrogating someone who messed with their daughter. In a way, since Jaemin is the youngest and an omega he does take priority over his sister in his parents eyes. So instead of "Who messed with my daughter?" it's "Who messed with my son?"

"I went into heat at school and like all my friends brought me home but then you know I was in heat so you know what happens then and you know Jeno was there and you know he kinda stayed you know for like the whole ten days you know but we didn't do  anything you know just kinda a little bit of something towards the end but nothing like really all the way there you know I feel like I'm saying you know a lot you know oop I did it again maybe I should go now you know? Yeah, I think it's time to go, now. Let's go Jen!" Jaemin exclaimed in all of two breaths before dragging Jeno and running like their life depended on it after seeing the absolute rage in Jaemin's father's eyes.

"NA JAEMIN GET BACK HERE!" Mr. Na bellowed. That made the boys run faster. They ran and they ran until they reached Jeno's house. They burst through the door shocking Jeno's parents who were waiting for their son.

"Jeno, what's with all the commotion and who's this?" Jeno's mother inquired.

"No time to talk, mother. This is Na Jaemin and when his dad inevitably arrives, you saw nothing!" Jeno yelled as he and Jaemin bolted to his room, shut the door, and collapsed on the bed. As soon as they hit the sheets they began giggling like they just witnessed the funniest thing.

"I am so dead when I get back home." Jaemin giggled. Jeno chortled back and then gasped when and idea hit him.

"Quick, let's go to sleep so you don't have to. I've known your dad for like two minutes and I can already tell no matter how mad he is, you still walk on water in his eyes." Jeno exclaimed.

"Yeah, you're right." Jaemin giggled as they cuddled up under the blankets. They both murmured to each other in an attempt to hold a conversation but all that running really did tire them out. They soon fell asleep, Jaemin tucked protectively away in Jeno's arms and Jaemin's back pressed firmly against Jeno's chest. When Mr. Na arrived, as the boys predicted he would, Mr. and Mrs. Lee played dumb like their son asked them to but the white cat gave them away and so they were forced to let him in. He stormed up the stairs but upon opening the door his anger died down immensely. He didn't have the heart to wake his son up after all the exhaustion from, most likely running, 5 miles. The Lee's welcomed the Na's and they held conversation until the sun rose and they realized the kids had school and they had work.

Mrs. Na and Mrs. Lee quietly climbed up the stairs and made their way to Jeno's room. When they opened the door they were met with quite a sight. Jaemin sprawled across Jeno, who laid on his back, while Jaemin whimpered and twitched in his sleep presumably having a nightmare and Jeno, half-awake, trying to soothe him. They could hear quiet little "shh it's okay's" and "I'm here. You're safe's" tumbling gently from Jeno's drowsy lips. They both whipped out their phones and giggled quietly at each other as they captured the moment. They then put their phones away and knocked gently on the door to get Jeno's attention.

Jeno plopped his head up and peered over Jaemin's shoulder to see his mom and Jaemin's mom.

"You boys need to get up. You've got school in about 2 hours." Mrs. Na said.

"If you're quick enough maybe I'll make you some breakfast." Mrs. Lee added.

Jeno merely nodded at the women. He let his head fall and three seconds later his entire upper body rose along with Jaemin. He patted Jaemin's face to wake him up. Jaemin only mumbled incoherently before shuffling and falling back onto the bed. Jeno groaned and waved the mothers off while dragging himself out of bed so that he cold drag Jaemin out of bed.

"Jaemin-ah, get up." Jeno grumbled as he shook Jaemin aggressively. This caused Jaemin to jolt up in fear. Jeno was slightly concerned at that but didn't comment as the moment was brief before Jaemin was back to his normal self. The boys got ready and Jaemin wore one of Jeno's largest hoodies with some shorts he'd left when they spent the night the other day, and walked down the stairs gleefully.

The boys sat at the table with their parents, cautiously striking up a conversation before relaxing after it was evident no one was going to die.

"Daddy, can you pass the salt?" Jaemin asked sweetly while arranging his plate so that none of his food touched each other. When Jeno and Mr. Na both reached for the salt, all hell broke loose.
