I woke up to the annoying beeping of my alarm clock. 'Note to self....get a new alarm clock.' I thought. I quickly got ready. I didn't know what anyone was going to be like so I decided to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I called Bella and asked her if she could drop me off at work. I felt bad knowing that she didn't have school today and I woke her up early. I grabbed a bagel from the shockingly clean fridge and ran to the door. I could not describe how nervous I was in words.

I heard the loud truck pull in. I quickly got in, expecting a long and boring car ride. I saw a teenage boy who looked to be about seventeen or eighteen years old. Bella mumbled something about him being her boyfriend and how annoyed she was about me waking her up. Shockingly we all talked as we drove. I couldn't help but look at the boy's features. Bronze hair, pale skin and golden-honey colored eyes. It felt like only five minutes had gone by once we reached the hospital. I waved goodbye to Bella and Edward.

I walked into the hospital, which was relatively quiet. I reached the desk and the receptionist looked up.

"I'm uh...the new intern from Jacksonville, Florida." I spoke as calmly as I could. The receptionist nodded and quickly handed me a few papers and a pen. I didn't get my hopes up as she spoke to me.
"Please fill these out then I'll have one of the interns show you around." She sounded very annoyed. I nodded and quickly went to filling out the forms. After I finished I was shown where the staff room was and where out lockers were. I was informed about the new gossip and who to stay away from. The girl who led me around was named Jamie Kepler. I had to stop myself from asking her if she liked me. Little did I know that she would be out to get me. She and I walked and as we rounded a corner, I bumped into a man, who I assumed was an attendee for interns.

"I-I'm really sorry." I stuttered out. I forced myself to look up. He simply smiled. I stared at his features. Blond hair, tall, pale and very similar eyes to Bella's boyfriend.

"It's alright, don't worry about it." He said calmly. His voice was soft and gentle like silk. He quickly walked off.

"Well, that's definitely a way to make a first impression on your assigned attendee." Jamie chuckled. I looked at her in shock.

"Two questions. One, who was he? And two, they assign interns to attendees here?" I asked.

"Yeah, we don't get many interns so they assign us to an attendee, well actually, an attendee picks us from a pool of interns. Are you a second year intern?" Jamie asked curiously.

I nodded, "Yeah. So what about the first question...who was he?" I questioned her again.

"That was Dr. Cullen. Single and the hottest doctor here." Jamie said, her voice melting. I assumed that she was fantasizing about him.

"Okay then..." I said, holding the 'okay'. I figured this was going to be a long day. All five of the other interns were obsessed with the gossip. By lunch they had annoyed me so much that I left and found some empty hallway and sat there. I let myself get lost in my many thoughts, eventually drifting into my own world. I didn't hear the sound of footsteps approach me. I figured that our attendees were supposed to meet us after lunch, so I thought I didn't have to worry about being pestered by the other interns, who were older than me, about useless gossip.

"I'm assuming you left the other interns because they annoyed you." A familiar voice stated. I looked up the see Dr. Cullen standing in front of me with a gentle smile.

"Yeah. They tried to pester me into joining their useless gossip, so I left." I replied as casually as possible. He nodded and offered a hand to help me up. I took it and calmly pulled myself up. I was slightly shocked about the freezing cold temperature of his skin, but I ignored it.

"Perhaps you'd like to eat lunch with me in my office." He offered. I was shocked and I had to remind myself to breath because it wasn't a date. I quickly mentally kicked myself and smiled.

"I'd like that," I responded as calmly as possible so he didn't think I was insane. I felt nervous as I followed him. I barely knew him but my mind just kept screaming at me to make a move. As we ate we talked about little things like my home, family and why we decided to become doctors. I was enjoying myself a lot. Soon lunch was over and I was almost finished my shift for the day.

It had been a fairly boring day, very few emergencies and surgeries. I found myself in a restaurant ,that was a short walk away from work, eating (fave. food) and drinking (drink of choice). I knew soon I had to go home so I paid the bill and left. I began walking, even though it was a long way home. After about five minutes of the temperature dropping, I heard a honk and saw my attendee pull over.

"Do you need a ride?" He asked. Yet again, another kind action directed towards me.

"Yeah, thanks." I smiled and got in. I directed him towards 'my' house. As soon as we pulled into the driveway he smiled.

"Thanks again, I hope I didn't trouble you..." I said. He simply smiled. A signature smile that made me melt.

"It was nothing, my house is only a few more roads up." He chuckled and closed the door.

I quickly headed inside, eager to escape the cold. I hung my jacket up and flopped down onto my bed. I knew what had happened. I had developed a crush on my attendee. I was so screwed. I got ready for the next day and quickly found myself dreaming about him.
