Chapter 10

"More like kissed but yeah I did..."

"You did what?!" Barrett whispered shouted

"It's not what I did, it's what she did" Danielle held her hands up in defense.

"Hold on pause, what's happening" Jaina asked the women looking confused. "We're still talking about the woman at the park, right?"

"Yes, and no, well mostly yes, do you remember the sexy woman that had drinks with us at the bar Last Saturday?" Barrett asked Jaina so she could connect the dots.

"Wait..." Jaina paused to think. " Yeah, she was also at the restaurant the same day... OHH MYY- you kissed her??!!!! She began to lower her voice. "Why didn't you say anything!"

"First of all, she kissed me...not like i pulled back or anything but it was probably a sympathetic kiss" Danielle said shrugging her shoulders.

"Now why... why would you say that?" Asked Barrett.

"Maybe because i was rambling to her about Camille, who by the way stormed in here last night" The blonde shot back.

"WHAT?!" Both Jaina and Barrett exclaimed simultaneously.

"Yeah, and I screamed at her while Stefania was in the room, i told Cami that she was my girlfriend..." Danielle thought back to the memory in embarrassment.

"Why didn't you call US??!" Barrett tried to calm herself. Barrett and Jaina knew about Danielle and Cami, they knew what Cami did to her, everything. After the breakup they were the ones who made sure she got up every day and got through the day. Some days were harder than others, but they still managed. Barrett even tried to Break Camille's jaw...literally, she couldn't stand the way Camille treated Danielle, but Jaina stopped her obviously.

"Because I lost my phone when i died and earlier Stefania brought it to me."

"You didn't die" Jaina told her.

"It was crazy the whole thing but...You could hear the panic in Stefania's voice, breathlessly breathing, screaming, the tiredness in her voice.... then she told me the Dispatcher call got cut, it was horrible." Barrett sighed in thought of the memory.

"You didn't die" Jaina repeated then got up to hug her best friend.

"You're right.... Enough of that mopey stuff...I'm here now" Danielle tried to lighten the mood. "Get in here Barrett" she smiled as she joined two.

"Okay but seriously my phone is on one percent and I'm going to need that so does anyone have a charger? Danielle asked the pair.

"Actually, we brought you yours, here" Jaina said as she grabbed the cable from the bag.

"Okay bambina i need you to eat something" Stefania told Luna as she slid the plate back to her daughter who pushed it away again.

"Are you still tired?" Luna barely said anything but nodded slightly so Stefania took her into her room. As she was about to leave the room Luna softly said "mamma resta"

So, Stefania layed next to her daughter holding her gently as she drifted off to sleep.

"I have to go to work now but I'll come back later" Barrett told Danielle. Jaina had already left so Danielle was now alone and had nothing to do. She was strolling through her phone then realized that she had Stefania's number so why not text her she thought to herself, now she just had to think of something to say.

Hey how is Luna she thought. "Ugh to straight forward" she whispered to herself. You kissed me not that it was bad... she thought again. " I have no game..nun at all" she said to herself. So, she decided just to text her because now is better than never.

Danielle instantly threw her phone down. "Ewww I could've said anything- you know what I'm sucking it up because I have to accept that I have no game...I'm still learning." She tried to tell herself, after all it is a start to taking down the big walls.

Stefania had just drifted off ten minutes after Luna then was startled by a loud ding coming from her phone. She retrieved it from her back pocket, then a smile appeared on her face when she saw Danielle's name.

Danielle

Danielle: Hey, thanks for
stopping by earlier.

Prego, how are you feeling?

Danielle: Better than yesterday.

Progress I'm sorry I  didn't come back after
I kissed you.

Danielle: Its fine, I'm good, btw
How's Luna, did they find out
What was wrong with her?

She has the flu, doesn't want to eat
Anything but for now she's
Asleep. She keeps tossing and
Turning.

Danielle: I get out of here in four
Days, maybe I can help.

No bella, you need rest but i can
come by when you get out.

Danielle: Sounds like a plan,
I probably wouldn't be good
Company though

Four Days Later...

"Ciao! I brought pasta and pizza." Stefania said with a smile on her face once Danielle opened the door.
"Oh, please come in, you just became my favorite person" The blonde said making the brunette laugh.

"Your house is beautiful! I love the plants the smell! everything!" Stefania exclaimed, looking around after she sat everything on the kitchen island.

"Maybe I'll give you a tour one day... but now I have to sit" she said as she took a seat on the couch then patted beside her so Stefania could sit.

"Ohhh so you dance, and you teach it!" Danielle gasped in awe.

"Yeah, what do you do, having a beautiful home like this, must be big." The Italian said then took a sip of her white wine.

"Well, I was a criminal defense lawyer, but I switched so now I'm a Family Law lawyer" Danielle explained.

"I used to want to be a lawyer, but I found dancing easier" Stefania said nodding

"Do you want to watch a movie or something? "Danielle asked as she attempted to get off the couch but failed tremendously. "Ahhhhh...dammit" she screamed in pain as her watch started beeping erratically.

Stefania instantly grabbed her so she wouldn't fall. "You're okay...you're okay" she said as she grabbed the blonde's wrist to turn off the watch.

"I felt this sharp pain in my chest." The blonde said as she continued to rub her chest, taking deep breaths.

"You shouldn't have gotten up that fast" Stroking the blondes back Stefania said. "What were you trying to get I'll get it."

"The remote, it's on the table" Danielle pointed then sat back on the couch.
