It's been a rough couple of days. Aizawa was never easy to deal with, he's like a grumpy, sleepy cat. He'll warm up to you eventually, but it won't stop him from being an ass. Today was no different. You'd been assigned as his TA after the Nomu beat the life and soul out of his poor broken body. Being his assistant wasn't the problem, teaching the kids of class 1-A wasn't the problem; not even Bakugo was a problem, THE problem was that you were his assistant full time. He was in a full-body cast for 2 weeks and then he was wrapped literally head to toe in bandages. Who do you think took care of him at that time? Redressed his wounds, fed him, and even bathed him? It was you. You couldn't complain, he's just like a cat. He warmed up to you, and you to him. Just a bit too much.

"Y/N, you'll be in charge of helping Aizawa recover and teach and protect his class. You're the only pro-hero available that knows him well enough to deal with his...temperament. This is a semi-permanent to a permanent position. Please do your best," Principal Nezu said as he gave you the rundown of your new assignment. "Shouta Aizawa, huh?" You mused to yourself as you walked to his hospital bed. He'd been unconscious for a full week until just yesterday. You'd been there when they found him. You were the one that brought his mangled body in, you were sobbing and clinging on to him as if through that alone you'd be able to preserve his life. It did help. He's a fighter through and through and here he was alive just not well. Not yet at least.

The nurses helped you get him into your car and pack away all the equipment needed to care for him. He hadn't said a word yet. You rose hell trying to allow them to let him stay longer, he'd just only woken up from his coma yesterday, but with all the attacks going on and with the possibility of a spy at UA they said it would be best if he could get back to the school as soon as possible. "Hey, how are you feeling, Aizawa?" You asked as you started the car. He looked over at you, all you could see was his eyes but even then you knew he was annoyed. He grunted and turned to look out the window. The rest of the drive was silent between the two of you, so you turned on some music not taking his attitude personally.

Once you had arrived at the destination, he finally spoke, "I figured we would be going to your place," his voice was muffled by the bandages but being that he usually spoke in a monotone drone it was a little hard to understand. "Ah, oh yes, they said you'd probably prefer being in your own home than my own. Hope that's ok," You replied as you started to help him out of his seat. It was awkward since his entire body was in a cast that had gaps at his joints and bending points. He begrudgingly allowed you to help him and he even leaned on you for extra support. You had a wheelchair ready that you placed him in. Once you had gotten him into his place, you turned on the lights to see that there was a thin layer of dust on everything, and take-out containers had spilled out of the full trash. You shook your head and wheeled him into the living room and got started on setting up and cleaning as well as preparing a meal for the both of you. You once again turned on music to fill the silence since Aizawa didn't seem to have much to say.

After an hour, you'd gotten most of the work done and dinner was served. You had to feed Aizawa, which was only made awkward by his intense staring. Once you'd finished you brought him into his room and lifted him into the bed gently. You brought a sleeping bag in set it up by the bed next to him. "Let me know if you need to use the restroom or if you're thirsty or anything else, ok?" You told him as you got settled next to him. He just grunted in response. You left a nightlight on just in case you needed to get up and fell asleep. It continued like this for another week. Every day was the same as the last. He never spoke unless spoken to and he barely ever responded. You never took it personally, you knew him well enough to know he's just like that. Back in high school he actually mentored you, but you weren't sure if he even remembered.

After the first week was up, it was time to have the casts removed. You called Recover Girl in to help you. You laid Aizawa down on his bed that you had covered in a tarp to keep clean. You sat on the bed next to him while you waited for Recovery Girl. "Hey, why haven't you spoken to me much while I've been helping you? You know this is practically permanent, I'll be helping you for a long time, so why don't you try and talk to me a bit? We could be friends?" You asked. You were tired of the way things were by now but you were also worried about rejection, that he'd want nothing to do with you. "Logically, there's no reason for us to be friends, you're just doing your job. Once we get back to the school, I want the students to be your only priority. If you were to develop feelings for me outside of just being coworkers, it could cloud your judgment if you had to choose me or a student in a crisis event. The same can be said for me, so it's just best not to push the boundaries." He said. It had been the most he'd spoken to you since you've been assigned to him. "Bullshit," you muttered to yourself. His gaze snapped to yours, taken back by your vulgar statement but so intrigued it could have caused him physical pain if he wasn't given an answer for your break in character thus far. Truth be told, you wouldn't be able to give him a straight answer, thankfully you didn't have to since there was a knock at the door. "That must be Recovery Girl, I'll be go let her in," You said getting up.
