Prologue

Sophie woke up to the feel of something soft around her. She forced her eyes open, groaning when her head pounded against the light.

"Careful, dear, wouldn't want to strain yourself." Said a voice, and Sophie turned to see who had spoken. It was a woman with long blonde hair, she was wearing a black cloak, and was slowly walking towards her as if she was afraid Sophie would scream. Maybe she would, she hadn't decided yet.

"W-who are you." Sophie mumbled, wishing her voice didn't sound so small.

"Why, I'm the person who rescued you." The woman said, carefully sitting down on a chair next to the bed Sophie was on.

"Rescued?"

"Oh dear, do you not remember?"

"I-"

She was running, someone was trying to get her, no one was here to help. She was all alone. She closed her eyes, bracing for impact. But none came.

Just a scream.

"Are you alright?" The man who had been chasing her was on the ground, and a woman with blonde hair was kneeling next to Sophie. She tried to nod but all she saw was black.

The flashback left as fast as it came, leaving Sophie confused and grateful. This woman—whoever she was—had saved her.

"What's you're name, dear," The woman was asking.

"Sophie. Sophie Foster."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sophie. I'm Gisela."

"Where am I? This doesn't look like the hospital."

Gisela laughed, "No, it's not the hospital, but don't worry we fixed you up."

Sophie looked down at her arms, which had been bruised and dirty before, but now it looked as if nothing had happened

"But," She said. "Where am I?"

"This may be a big shock to you, Sophie, but you're in the elven world. You're an elf."

A/N what do you think of this au so far?

a few things to note before you read on; the rest of the story takes place a year after sophie was brought to the elvin world, meaning she is 13 in human years. basically, forget everything that happened in the actual series because this is going to follow none of that. and yes, this is a sokeefe fic, but it's going to be slow.
