modern day story.
where you're driving nick, ziggy etc to the camp.
Song, beach boy by mcafferty.
You're explaining to Cindy why you moved to shadyside.
As nick goes on and on about random shit and is boring us all I pull the car over and stop, before turning around to him.
"I swear to fucking God nick ill turn this fucking car around! shut the fuck up!" I warn.
As nick falls silent and a few people laugh I begin driving again.
"y/n, first year at the night wing camp huh? tell us about yourself." Cindy begs.
"I don't get parties, or getting high. I just get low, most of the time." I add first of all.
"and ill be there for you baby but I gotta add some room, and you gotta keep your eyes on the new guys in the room." I say to Cindy motioning about Tommy who seemingly has a huge crush on her.
"I thought you used to party alot.." Cindy says, raising her eyebrows confused.
"and the way they dance is crazy, you ain't never seen this shit." I tell her laughing.
"but the strobe lights are way too high." I say dramatically keeping my eyes on the road.
"can we just get this over with?" nick asks.
"your lips tasted like they did way back in July." Cindy mumbles.
"headaches and overdoses. I hope that we never die." Alice says from the back of the mini van.
"October's always here. November never leaves. December dissappears." she says to me.
"I dance really fast, cause you gotta dance real fast and my friends are all passed out in the back of my dad's van." I whisper.
"and I know that you think that I don't care about all the friends I left behind." I say to Cindy, not looking at her.
"the ones who stayed up late at night? screaming out their shattered minds??" Cindy asks me confused.
"bingo." I say nodding my head.
"why did you have to move?" ziggy asks.
"it's a long story and it's not very appropriate. especially in front of my girlfriend-"i say.
"summarise it for us. I won't mind." Cindy exclaims.
I sigh.
"and she's on top of me. and it is hot hot hot, she says come on sweetheart. take em off, so I will take them off and then we take them off but then her dad walked in." I explain.
"oh shit her dad walked in!" Alice exclaims laughing her head off.
"you never had a shot at any of this?" nick asks.
I shake my head.
"it was just smash a guitar, smash your dreams. or grow up now is just what I mean." I then finish.
"oh.." Cindy says.
"grow up now is just what I mean.." I whisper to myself.
and then i pull up at the camp, stopping the van and turning to everyone I smile.
"well we're here kids!" I yell.
