"I'm sorry you had to go through that." Caius said, after a short moment of silence. Part of him really wanted to wrap his arms around her, but held back.

"It's okay, really. Bad shit happens, I learned to accept it." She chuckled lowly, glancing at the cut scars on her wrists.

"Wanna take a walk?" He asked, standing up and putting his hands in his pockets. "Yeah, sure," she agreed, grabbing her robe and slipping it on. She grabbed her notebook and gestured him to lead the way.

As they walked in comfortable silence, Lili couldn't help but gaze at Caius, his perfect jawline, his natural curly but messy hair. She loved every detail. Slightly smirking to himself when he noticed her gaze, "You're staring."

"You never told me your hair was naturally curly. Messy but curly." She said, avoiding when he called her out. Caius glanced at her, noticing the blush on her cheeks but decided against calling her out again as they entered the garden, it was cloudy that day so he didn't have to worry about the sun.

"You never asked," he retorted smugly. Lili chuckled and stopped, leaning down and admiring the red rose.

"Well I suppose you're right. So I'll ask, why don't you leave it like that? It looks really nice. I've only seen you with straightened hair," She says, touching the flower and focusing on its features to avoid eye contact.

"I only have it straightened when we have meetings, I usually leave it natural. I find the straightened hair looks more, professional. As you humans would call it." Lili cringed at the word humans, why did it matter that she was human?

Standing up, she faces him, looking at him straight in the eyes. "So I'm just like every other human? You know I never wanted to be a vampire. I always hated the idea when I found out about Rosalie, but then, I met you. I thought, maybe we could finally get along, connect. But it's clear you don't want to connect with me, I mean you said so yourself. Aro made you come and talk to me. Why's that?"

Tears pooled in her eyes but they never fell, lifting his hand up, he placed it on her warm cheek, making her look at it before back up at him. "I don't like the way you make me feel. I hate it, and I want it to stop. You leaving, makes it stop, if I never met you I wouldn't be going through this. I want you to leave." Dropping his cold hand, he backed up, her bottom lip trembling.

"So that's why you came to see me? To convince me to leave? God you're even worse than I thought." Lili wiped a single tear that fell and ran to the nearest exit, Demetri wanted to say something but she gave him a look and he nodded. Putting an arm on her waist, he sped them back to her bedroom.

"Your lunch should be in there, I'll come by to check on you later." He informed as he got to her door. "Thank you, Metri." She opened the door and entered, shutting the door she dropped to the floor, pressing her knees to her chest as she sobbed.

"That curly headed asshole!" She hit her head back in the door. After a few minutes she stood up and walked over to the desk that had a tray of lunch, which included a soda, double cheeseburger burger, and some fries. She set her book down and grabbed the remote, pressing a button, the tv turned on. Clicking through some channels, The Vampire Diaries played.

Eating her food as she watched the episode where Bonnie and Damon got stuck in the prison world together, her phone rang. Grabbing her phone she paused the show and answered. "Lili? Thank goodness you're alright. Alice just told me what happened and I'm so sorry I wasn't there." Rosalie' voice said, making Lili smile.

"It's okay, really. I'm perfectly fine, tomorrow I'm going to an art museum." Lili says, she was still considering going home early, but why not enjoy her time in the city before leaving.

"Are you sure? Me and Emmett could fly over right now and get you. I'm sorry you had to be stuck with Caius, of all vampires." Rosalie said, glancing at Alice who was talking to Jasper about Lili' whereabouts.

"Yeah, me too. He's a real asshole, but I suppose it's not all that bad. They have a really beautiful garden, and an indoor pool. Demetri isn't all that bad, he's actually super nice to hang out with." Lili says, smiling to herself as she popped a fry into her mouth.

"If I didn't love you, I'd call you a total sociopath. But, I really am sorry you got tortured by Jane for my brother. And thank you for going to save him." Rose says, turning her head to see an upside Jasper, Lili was his best friend and he didn't like her being hurt, so hearing she was tortured by Jane upset him. Lili was the only human he could stand to be around because her blood wasn't absolutely appealing to vampires.

"I'm just glad Edward is okay, I don't like him but he didn't deserve to be tortured. I should really go, but tell Jasper I love him and I'm fine. I'll be home in a few weeks. I love you." Lili leaned back in the chair, running a hand through her hair. Jasper brightened up a bit more when he heard Lili' voice.

"I love you too." Rose hung up, looking at Jasper and Alice, "She's going to be fine. No thanks to you leaving her there stuck with Caius of all vampires, but she'll be fine." Rose said, getting up and glaring at Alice.

"I told you I didn't have a choice. And she wanted to stay there, you didn't see the way he was protecting her," Alice defended, looking up at Jasper and back to a pissed of Rosalie.

"He's Caius! He's a soulless vampire who doesn't have feelings. And from what Lili just told me, he sounds like a real asshole. And you and Bella just left her there with him, with all of them. Do I have to remind you what happens if Lili even has one bad thought? I won't be there to take care of her, that's my best friend. And you and Bella just signed her death sentence." Rosalie finished, clenching her jaw and storming out.

"I'll talk to her." Emmett said, following after his girl.

Jasper sighed and leaning against the table, "You believe me right? I would never put Lili in that kind of danger." Alice says to her boyfriend, Jasper took a breath and looked to his girlfriend. "I believe you. And I know Lili can take care of herself."
