"Chaengie, I'm sorry for what I'm about to tell you."
"What?"
Silence then enveloped the living room, while Chaeryeong was tapping on her tablet she could actually hear the tick-tock of the clock going on, the atmosphere was horrifyingly ominous.
"You need to know a lot of things," Yuna eyed on her wife with full intent.
Unable to do anything, Chaeryeong nodded her head in understanding. She placed her tablet on the coffee table, turning her head to focus her attention on the taller.
"I'm listening."
With a hint of nervousness residing within Yuna's eyes, she cleared her throat and grabbed a pillow to grip onto before speaking.
"I think you already know this but, I took care of that secretary who forced you to work so much."
Even though the shorter indeed knew about the situation, Chaeryeong still couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.
Hearing the actual words come out from her wife's mouth, just made it even more terrifying.
Despite this, the shorter took the situation calmly and proceeded to listen to her wife's revelations.
"I have a hidden criminal record ever since high school, my mother used her connections to hide it... that applies to my relatives. Rather, my family."
Yuna took a deep breath before continuing.
"If I made you uncomfortable... then I'm sorry for not being—normal."
Chaeryeong pursed her lips, "How long have you been doing this?"
Yuna gripped the pillow tighter, "If you include the secretary... it's the first time in three years. Are you disgusted at me now...?"
The shorter released a huge sigh, she scooted closer to her wife and hugged her tightly.
"...You're crazy."
Yuna sat in place frozen, shocked at the abrupt gesture as she wasn't expecting it. "I know," she mumbled.
"I'm not sure how to react, but please don't do that again!"
Charyoung half-yelled, pulling away from the embrace to cup her wife's cheeks. She looked at the taller with her utmost attention, her hands were somewhat trembling due to the fear she's experiencing.
Yet, the shorter knew it'll only cause her wife to overthink more and maybe perhaps snap.
Chaeryeong wasn't sure why she had these kinds of thoughts, it was a weird feeling that she knew what to do.
It was strange that she knew how the girl would react, these thoughts of hers eventually caused her vision to tremor for a millisecond.
However, shook them away and laid her forehead against her wife who appeared to have a guilty expression.
"If you happen to have those thoughts again, be sure to approach me and tell me all about it alright? If you want to hurt something or someone, don't be afraid to rant it all out to me."
Out of nowhere, Yuna's expression began to falter and release tears from her eyes.
"I'm sorry for being abnormal... I don't know what got to me."
"You're not abnormal, you just needed help that's all."
Chaeryeong kissed her wife's forehead before making a distance and tenderly pushing the latter's back on the backrest.
"Should we visit your father tomorrow?" the shorter asked whilst wiping her wife's tears with her sleeve.
Yuna smiled faintly and shook her head, "I would but... I think I'd rather have you by my side tomorrow the whole day, that'll be enough to calm my thoughts."
Chaeryeong returned the smile and hooked her arm around the taller for a side hug, "That I can provide."
Feeling better, the taller giggled and nuzzled her cheek against her wife. Comfortably laying her head on the latter's shoulder whilst planting a few kisses from time to time.
"You know, sometimes I can't help but ponder... like how the heck do you keep yourself calm at uncomfortable times."
"Hun, I've been through a lot."
"Can you tell me all about it?"
The taller asked as she was so close to her wife's ear to the point her soft breaths were repelling against it, this caused the shorter shiver and giggle at the sudden closeness.
"Hmm... maybe someday."
Chaeryeong turned to her to face her wife, only to suddenly meet a beautiful visage that seemed to look at her with gleaming sparkling eyes.
The two locked eyes for a prolonged time.
Both hearts thumping in sync, butterflies in their stomachs. Everything suddenly disappeared within their sight.
It felt so enchanting.
I'll never dream about things that I know won't come true... but it looks like it already got granted.
Cutting the silence between them, Chaeryeong chuckled and leaned in to fill the gaps, giving her wife a tender soft kiss.
