taylor's pov
"i'm taylor, taylor swift" i say and he fake smiles at me which i return. without a word, we both get ready and head to our classes.
On the way cisco joins me and i notice joe and some girl walking after us. i feel jealous deep inside but i don't say anything, just keep talking with cisco without paying any attention to conversation.
"heeey miss swizzle you heeere?" cisco says and hits me a little.
"oh yeah i'm here I'm here"
"doesn't seem to be like it"
"don't worry, um see you after classes" i say and hug him before entering in the class.
"okay?" he says confused and returns hug.
I sit down and soon lecture starts, i successfully concentrate on lesson and in the end joe steps in class.
"wanna get some coffee?"
i was taken back by his actions and just nod my head. He leads me in café while talking.
"do you like pancakes?" he asks me.
"yess, but i hope they will have waffles with blueberries!" i chuckle and we enter jitters(the name of café ig). To my luck, they had waffles with blueberries and i happily take plate and sit on the table.
soon joe returns with pancakes and we both chat while eating, getting along somehow.
"so do you have siblings?" he asks me after we finally finished laughing.
"yes, i have one brother. you?"
"i have two brothers, patrick and tom"
"you all really do have British names" i giggle and we finish our food.
"well what can i say tyler"
"i don't know josh"
"you know nothing taylah"
"oh like you know something Jack"
"oh really? i wasn't the one who bumped you blondie"
"oh yes you were and shut the fuck up! i hate you!" i shout and get away from him, we really didn't get along.
I go and run to the park, sitting on the green grass where god knows how long i stay there for.
soon i see someone sit down with me.
"I'm sorry taylor, i thought if we could just talk we would become close but i really fucked up" joe says not breaking eye contact.
"it's not your fault and I'm sorry too, i guess we like annoying each other's asses off" i giggle and he hugs me immediately. my breath itches and my heart skips a beat. I really didn't expect that. he lets go off me and we sit there for a while when he speaks up.
"wanna go somewhere else?"
"like where?"
"do you trust me?" He stands up and offers me a hand. i nod and hold onto his hand while i get up and he leads me somewhere.
We soon arrive and he stops, showing me around. i gasp looking around, we're at the lakes while sun is setting.
"this is so beautiful! how did you find this place?"
"i was just lost? and wandered around when i found this place, i like to sit here alone and think" he smiles at me which for the first time isn't fake. at least i think so.
we sat down and stared at sunset. I had my head on Joe's shoulder and his head was gently pressed on mine.
"you know we should really hang out more"
"yeah, we're good friends when we don't argue" he chuckles making me giggle.
"maybe we should turn back? it's getting late" i offer as it keeps getting dark.
"yeah we better go" he says and we get up making our way to dorm.
"hey lovebiiirds" cisco comes up from behind.
"aah" i scream "don't do that!"
"oops" he laughs.
"and we obviously aren't lovebirds, we're just friends" joe adds.
"yeah we're just roommates, friends" i reply.
"oh yeaaaah frieeends" he wiggles his eyebrows and i just roll my eyes.
"okay you two go now but just for the record i have eyes on youuu" he shouts as we get going.
"okayyy see you tomorrooow" i shout back and enter my dorm with a stupid grin on my face.
We put on pajamas and get in our beds, both not being able to sleep.
"hey joe?"
"hm?"
"i really like our friendship. we're quit the pair mr. alwyn"
"yes we are miss t-swift" he smiles at me which i return.
"goodnight tay"
"goodnight joe"
I roll over and sigh. wait- did he call me tay? I'm gonna melt now. Who knew such a jerk could be a cute nerd huh? he's such a sweet heart. wait why am i talking this way? i don't like him we're just friends. But i wish we were more than that. Sighing again i finally get to sleep and soon everything goes black.
[the next morning]
Joe's pov
I wake up early, surprisingly before taylor. she's sleeping peacefully but she'll be late for class if she won't wake up. should i wake her up? I think for a while then decide to wake her up cause i know she hates being late.
I get up and go over her bed just to see her frowning a little. I touch her on cheek and slide my thumb up and down gently, trying not to be too harsh.
"hey tay? wake up lov- ba- uh tay" i whisper and she flutters her eyes open looking confused.
"joe?"
"sorry you looked peaceful while sleeping but you'll be late for class" i say and she smiles at me.
"thank you" she yawns and swings her legs over the bed, dragging herself up hardly.
I put on my clothes and leave the dorm, letting her do her stuff. I go to jitters and get some coffee before heading to library. There's still some time before my lecture so i wander around and look for some books. Finally, i choose one and head to my class where emma seems to be in.
"hey joe!" she shouts excitedly from the other end waving her hands.
"heey emma" i give her smile.
"how are you, where were you yesterday? I looked all over for you!"
"I'm good, i was out with a friend"
"oh okay" he says and sits back on her place.
Soon the lecture starts and as always, my thoughts wander to taylor again.
Taylor's pov
I get ready as fast as i can and run to jitters to get some coffee as i don't have time for food. On the way cisco approaches me.
"how did yesterday go?" he smirks.
"cisco not now" i say and get my coffee.
"okay but you know you gotta tell me every. single. thing. like how was he? is he charming? is he good at kissing? is he sweet or more like a bad boy type? cute? nerd? attrac-"
"cisco are you sure you don't like him instead?" i giggle.
"well no bu- did you say instead? so you admit u like hiimmm" he smirks again with the cutest grin.
"No! i obviously don't like him, like i said he's just a friend" i say like nothing.
"okay T sWizZle as you say" he smiles.
"see you cisco" i sip my coffee and head to my lecture.
after classes me, cisco and joe go to jitters to talk for a while.
"so let me get this clear, you two had movie marathon without cisco?" cisco says dramatically giving us death stares.
"well apparently yes?" i whisper.
"there's going to be murder in your dorm tonight" cisco gives us a threat and pretends to be offended.
"cisco we tried reaching out for y-"
"uh-uh i don't wanna hear your excuses"
"you guys head a movie marathon with me! how could you!" he fake cries making both of us laugh.
"well you were sleeping so" i chuckle.
"okay so next time you two decide to have a movie marathon without me, be prepared for what is going to come besties" he threats us again and we all laugh, he's such a good actor. well after joe of course.
we chat for a while and we go to our dorms to study where we spent hours on learning and finally of course me and joe hang out to the lakes again which is really magical.
"goodnight joe" i say after we return in beds
"night taylor" he replies and we both go into deep slumber.
