CHAPTER FOURTEEN
MILLENNIUM LINT

*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

Adrian woke to sunlight streaming through his open curtains and a weight on his stomach. He shifted, blinking his eyes open as his hand automatically ducked under the cover. His fingers touched silky hair, and he immediately sank his fingers into it, scratching Alec's scalp. Alec was still deep asleep, his weight limp, his breathing deep and even. Adrian blinked the remaining sleepiness from his eyes and stared up at the ceiling of his room, going over the memories of the previous night, a small, content smile appearing on his face. Adrian had had sex before, but nothing at all compared to the gentle and intimate experience of the previous night. It had been soft and slow and warm, the nerves sliding off both of them easily, and they'd talked for an hour afterward at least, until Adrian had fallen asleep. Adrian distinctly remembered falling asleep with his head on Alec's shoulder, so Alec must've maneuvered so he could sleep with his head pillowed on Adrian's stomach after.

After a few minutes of Adrian gently combing his fingers through Alec's hair, he felt Alec breathe in deeply and shift, his spine arching as he stretched. He heard Alec yawn, and his mouth pressed against Adrian's bare stomach. Alec mumbled something, and Adrian lifted the covers, his small smile growing wider. Alec grunted when the light came pouring in, pressing his forehead against Adrian's stomach. It was very clear that he wanted to sleep some more, or simply lay there, content and quiet. Adrian ruffled his hair some more.

"Good morning," Adrian greeted, his voice warm. Alec mumbled a small good morning back, his voice a little clearer than before. Adrian found Alec's hand as it wandered up when Alec attempted to stretch some more, grasping it and tugging until Alec groaned and dragged himself out from under the covers. Alec collapsed on the bed beside Adrian, their faces level now, and then he immediately turned and pressed his face against the pillow. Adrian rolled onto his side to study Alec's face. A part of him expected Alec to dissolve into nerves over what they had done the previous night, but he didn't see any sign of nerves. Just sleepiness and something Adrian thought looked like peace.

"Stop staring at me and go back to sleep," Alec mumbled, shifting closer and ducking until he could curl up under Adrian's chin. Adrian laughed and looped his arms around his shoulders, pulling him closer and pressing a kiss to his hair. He was about to say that it was getting rather late and they needed to get up and eat, but a beep from his bedside table distracted him. He started to roll onto his back, releasing Alec so he could reach for his phone, but Alec was rising before he could. Alec pushed himself up, pushed his dark hair out of his eyes to reveal a slightly annoyed expression, and then he leaned over Adrian to pluck his phone off the table. Alec handed it to Adrian without a word, then flopped back down and pulled the cover around his shoulders.

"You're very grumpy," Adrian noted, amused, as he unlocked his phone. "I expect you to feel as affectionate as I do in ten minutes." Alec huffed out a small laugh, reaching over to squeeze Adrian's hand. Adrian squeezed it back, then checked his messages. It was a text from Simon, reminding him about the performance his band was putting on later that day. Adrian's eyebrows shot up in delight. He'd completely forgotten about Simon's band performance. "Actually, we should get up soon. Simon's band is performing later, so we probably need to get ready."

"Ugh," Alec groaned, rolling over to glare at Adrian's phone screen. His cheek rested against Adrian's shoulder, shifting slightly as Adrian typed back a response. "I just want to stay here all day. Do we have to go?"
