when the relationship was falling apart
It has been a whole week since you managed to have a proper conversation with your boyfriend. He would be out early in the morning and home late at night. Even though his schedule ended earlier than usual, he would usually go out and have a drink. That happened twice and without the boys knowing. You wanted to ask if he was having dinner at home but he wasn't picking up or replying his phone so you texted Taehyung. And from that, you found out that their schedule ended early today and that everyone went home. That day, you waited for him to come home. He arrived home, drunk, at 1 in the morning.
You remembered the harsh words he said when you asked him if he has eaten.
"why are you awake? I didn't ask you to wait for me, you're just going to add more to the headache" he spit out and walked to the room.
You stayed quiet. You knew he wasn't sober but his words still hurt you. Furthermore, he didn't even remember what he said as he didn't bring it up the day after. Today, again, he was not at home. It was already midnight and he was still out. No updates, whatsoever.
2:04am
You heard the door unlock. You were in your bed on your phone and you heard his footsteps coming closer. He opened the door and sighed.
"I'm tired" he said.
"Where were you?" you asked.
"At the bar, I didn't drink though, I had to drive"he said.
"Did you have dinner?"you asked.
"yes" he said and head to shower.
You sighed. Your heart felt heavy. He was different.
After he showered, he got into bed and immediately turned his back to you.
"Can we talk?" you asked.
"I'm tired Y/N" he said.
"Do you realise that we have not had a proper conversation with one another for over a week now?" you started.
"I'm busy"
"yeah, i get it you're busy. You could still go to a bar though? You could still get drunk though?" you said.
"Can we talk about this another time?" he said turning over to you with an annoyed look.
"No Jimin! You don't understand. Do you know how fvcking dumb I felt? How upset I feel?" you yelled, tears pooling in your eyes.
"All the members are at home with their loved ones and you're out here at a bar with who knows and going home drunk and tired and completely ignoring your girlfriend" you said.
"How do you know the members are at home?" he asked.
"I texted Taehyung if he was with you because you weren't answering your phone that day" you said calmly.
"Oh so you're using them as your spy huh?" he scoffed.
"Are you fvcking serious?" you said in disbelief.
"You weren't replying your phone calls or text messages. I thought you would be with the boys at schedule but i guess the fvck not. You came home drunk as hell and treated me like a piece of garbage" you said as your tears start to fall after remembering what he said.
You saw Jimin soften when you start to cry. He sat up and wanted to embrace you but you pulled away.
"Don't, Jimin" you said moving away.
"Look, I'm sorry. I'm just busy and overwhelmed with everything" he said.
"It'a still not a reason to treat me like shit" you cried even more, it's worse since you tried to hold it back.
Jimin's heart broke, seeing how you were trying to control your crying.
"I know... and I'm really sorry. I will make it up to you. I promise, I'll work on myself, I'll work on managing my time and my whole self for you. I know it won't be an easy journey but I will make it work please" he said.
"It hurts" you cried.
Jimin immediately held you in his arms and you let him. You felt your shoulder get wet probably from his own tears.
"I'm really really sorry darling.. i didn't know you felt this way" he sniffled.
"Please, don't do that anymore" you plead.
"I promise you, I won't. I promise. I'll work hard in this relationship" he said pulling away and cupping your face.
"I'm sorry... I was just scared that I would lose you from all this" you said.
He wiped your tears and pecked your cheeks.
"thank you for bringing this up before I get overboard. I love you so much baby, I'm sorry for everything I've done that hurt you" he said.
You shook your head.
"It's okay"
"It's not okay. I promise you, you'll not go through this again. We'll not go through this again" he said and rested his forehead on yours.
"I love you" he said.
"I love you" you said softly and he leaned in to kiss you.
"Let's go to sleep"he said as he laid both of you down on the bed.
He pulled you closer and hugged your waist while you hid your face in his neck. He waited until you fell asleep before he decided to fall asleep himself. He reflected while he held you.
"I love you darling, I'm sorry" he said kissing your forehead.
Jimin held you tight, like he didn't want to let you go.
