"W- she what?" Marcus asked, blinking rapidly, clutching his chest. Audrey's breath was caught in her throat as she gaped at the two men standing in front of her.
"Is... everything okay?" Spencer asked, walking into the living room along with the rest of his team.
Marcus turned to him with tears in his eyes. "No! Everything is not okay! My girlfriend is dead and I'm just now hearing about it!"
The door to the guest room opened and the siblings parents came out with concern written on their faces. "Marc?" Cole called out, rushing towards his son who looked distraught.
"H-how? Why!? How did she-" He tried to find the words but he just couldn't. "Please tell me- it's not true."
Hotch looked at the ground and sighed. "I am really sorry, Marcus."
The man sniffled and rubbed his eyes. "Tell me how it happened." He said. Audrey's head tilted to the side and she swallowed.
Cole placed his hands on his son's shoulders. "Marcus, I don't think-"
"Tell me how it happened!" He yelled. Audrey flinched back as his hand flew out and almost hit her. Spencer saw this and pulled his wife back to his side and protectively wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
Hotch nodded and looked up at him with a solemn expression on his usually hard features. "Her roommate found her dead in the bathtub. She was cut open from the top of her neck to the bottom of her stomach." Audrey shut her eyes and shook her head.
"Stop." She whispered inaudibly.
"All of her organs were... laid neatly on the bathroom floor on the shower curtain."
JJ swallowed and didn't meet anyone's eyes. "It's one of the most disturbing serial killers we've ever seen."
Marcus looked at the blonde with tears in his eyes. "This was a serial?" He asked, his voice breaking.
Derek cleared his throat quietly before speaking up. "The only reason we know it's a serial is because the victims were killed the same way."
"Who were the other victims?" Marcus asked.
"A twelve year old boy and his mother." Hotch shook his head. Marcus gagged and ran off to the bathroom. Audrey sniffled and wiped a tear from her cheek.
After a moment, a small shaky voice came from behind the group. "It was Lucas and his mom."
They all turned to see Joey with tears in his eyes and red cheeks. Spencer furrowed his eyebrows at the boy. He hadn't told Joey about it yet. He wasn't even sure that he was going to.
They all saw that Joey had Charlie's phone in his hands. "Lucas is dead." He sobbed. Audrey broke away from Spencer and rushed to pull her son into her arms.
As his mother wrapped her arms around him, clutching his head into her neck he extended his arm and showed the rest of the room the screen of the phone.
Spencer heard Sadie screaming, crying and Charlie trying to calm her down and ran up the stairs.
Hotch rushed forward and took the phone from the boy's hands and looked at the screen. On it, was a picture of Lucas Kent in a bathtub spilt open from neck to stomach with his organs laying out on the shower curtain. He swiped right amd it was the same but with the boy's mom instead.
Audrey squeezed her eyes shut and clutched the back of Joey's head as he sobbed and screamed.
When Derek noticed Spencer coming back down into the living room with a crying Sadie in his arms, he quickly snatched the phone from Hotch and turned the phone off.
