"I'll put an end to this."

Hello everyone and welcome to the 1st episode of Ask or Dare: Cartoon and Anime All-Stars Friend Logs! Today's episode is all about my good pal, Jin Kazama!

Origins

Jin is the central main protagonist of the Tekken series, starting his debut in Tekken 3, which first released on the PS1 on April 29, 1998. Since his debut he's always been voiced by Isshin Chiba. In the Tekken series, there's no real dub or sub as characters usually speak their native language (Starting in Tag Tournament 2), so Jin doesn't speak English all too much. The few exceptions were in the Blood Vengeance movie where he was voiced by Patrick Seitz, Street Fighter x Tekken where he was voiced by Brad Swaile, and the new Bloodline Netflix series where Kaiji Tang voices him. He hails from Japan. In Tekken 3, he fights with the Mishima Style of Fighting, but starting in Tekken 4, he rejects the style and learns Karate instead.

General Background

Jin is the illegitimate son of Kazuya Mishima and Jun Kazama, as well as the grandson of Heihachi Mishima. His main motivation throughout the games is to end the Mishima Bloodline to save the world. As well as find a way to be free from the Devil Gene curse that Kazuya had passed down to him.

Personality

Jin's personality usually goes from being either stoic and calm, or rude and arrogant. Despite this, he's never been seen as self-serving or cruel like his fathers. Though when his mind is made up, there's no getting him to change. He's also pretty disinterested in close relationships, most likely out of fear that those he cares about will die by the Devil Gene. And possibly Heihachi's betrayal.

Tekken 3

Jin was only 15 when his mother was taken from him by Orge, AKA Shrek's Evil Father. Prior to her disappearance, Jun had told her son that if anything were to happen to her, he should find his grandfather, Heihachi. Following her advice, Jin finds Heihachi, who takes him in and teaches him the Mishima Fighting Style. 4 years later, after mastering the style, Jin begins his quest to get revenge at the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. And that he does. However, his victory against True Ogre was short-lived as grandpa Heihachi betrays the poor lad and has the Tekken Force KILL him! After suffering multiple gun shots, Jin abruptly turns into his devil form, bodies Heihachi, and flies away.

Tekken 4

2 years after the events of 3, Jin moves to Australia to give up on the Mishima Fighting Style and learn Karate. Ever since Heihachi backstabbed him, Jin had grown to hate just about everything about himself and the Mishima Bloodline. His mind was focused with only one goal. To destroy the Bloodline for good. His opportunity would surely come as he heard about the 4th King of Iron Fist Tournament being announced, along with a certain person that piques Jin's interest, and wastes no time to enter. Soon, he was set to face none other than his resurrected father, Kazuya Mishima. But before he can get his chance to fight his father, he was captured by the Tekken Force and sent to Hon-Maru, a temple underneath the Mishima compound, losing by default. Kazuya is later led to the temple by Heihachi and... You know what? I'll just show you what goes down next because honestly it's better for you to see it for yourselves.
