When the group gets back to The Last Drop, they keep their head down in hopes to avoid Vander. However, it failed. Vander noticed them. He finishes up with whatever business he was discussing at that table before heading to the basement to check on the kids.

Vi drops in the chair and looks to the group, "Vander learns none of this," She says.

"No worries there. Powder took care of the evidence," Mylo states. Wren starts to play with her fingers to drown out the conflict arising.

"I tried okay?" Powder exclaims, "You don't get it! You're older. You're bigger. It isn't fair!"

"So stick with us!" Mylo shouts back, "Take a punch or two!"

Before they can go any further, Vander enters the room. He scans the kids to wait for someone to give him a reaction. He looks at Powder who looks guiltier than ever, then his eyes stop on Wren who is keeping her eyes on her hands. She always does that when she's hiding something. Vander notes, "Everyone alright?" He asks the group. The group just nods at him and he lets out a sigh, "Don't suppose any of you can explain why I'm hearing about an explosion and a foot chase topside? With five children leaving the scene?" No one replies as he looks at Vi, "What the hell were you thinking?"

"That we can handle a real job," Vi answers, looking up at Vander.

"A real job?" Vander raises an eyebrow at them.

"We got our own tip, planned a route. No one even saw," Vi said.

"You blew up a building-"

"That wasn't-"

Vander stops her, "Did you even stop to think about what could have happened to you?" Vander said. Now not looking at just Vi, but the rest of the group, "To them?" He points his hand at them. Wren finally looks up from her hands to look at Vi who is now looking down in disappointment.

"We heard it from Benzo's shop," Powder says quietly.

"From?" Vander asks.

"Little man,"

"And me," Wren says. Vander looks over at her in disappointment.

"I took us there," Vi says, taking the attention off of Wren, "If you wanna be mad, then be mad at me," She says, "But you're the one who always says we have to earn our place in the world,"

"I also told you time and time again that the Northside is off-limits," Vander argues, "We stay out of Piltover's business!" Wren jumps at Vander's raised voice.

"Why?" Vi questions, she glances at Wren briefly to make sure she's okay, "They've got plenty while we're down here scraping together coins!" Vi scoffs, shaking her head, "When did you get so comfortable living in someone else's shadow?" The group goes silent as Vanders eyes widen.

"Everyone out," Vander says, "Wren, Benzo wants to talk to you," Wren sighs since she knows she's about to get her own lecture. She turns to Vi and gives her a small smile before leaving the room. She quickly says bye to the group before leaving The Last Drop. She walks into Benzo's and sighs when the man is already waiting for her, Ekko sitting behind him with a guilty look.

"You're not my dad so I don't get why you want to lecture me," Wren mutters, taking a seat nearby.

"I'm as good as," Benzo says. Benzo sighs sitting next to her, "I'm not going to go full lecture mode. You know what you did was wrong," He turns to Ekko and shakes his head towards the door to tell him to leave. Wren smiles at Ekko as he leaves, "That boy looks at you and Vi as a role model. Especially you. You're his sister," Wren sighs, knowing this already. Her and Ekko aren't related by blood, but their parents worked together in a factory and were never home, so Wren took care of him. After her parents died in a factory accident, Ekko's parents took her in and Ekko has seen her as his sister ever since. She was his family.

"I want to create a better life for him," Wren whispers.

"Then start acting like it. You can't take care of him behind bars," Benzo says. Wren nods at him and Benzo sighs, "Go," He says.

Wren walks out the door and stops when she sees Ekko there with a guilty look on his face. She sighs before walking over to him and wrapping an arm around his shoulder. He leans into her shoulder, "I'm sorry," He says.

"We were both scouting the location, little man. It was my choice to go. Don't apologize. Don't ever apologize for other people's choices," Wren whispers and Ekko nods. She lets out a small sigh and leans her head on top of Ekko's. She hears footsteps and looks up to see Vi standing there with a small smile on her face as she watches us, "Go find Powder, okay?" Wren tells Ekko who nods excitedly. His whole demeanor changed just at the sound of his crush's name.

"Hey," Vi says, sitting down in the spot Ekko previously sat at.

"Hey, how was your lecture?"

"Pretty much the same as usual," Vi says, "You?"

"Same," Wren sighs. She leans back against the wall and looks up at the sky.

Vi just watches the girl she's always been so entranced by. Wren is one of the few people who truly understand Vi and her responsibilities. She, like Vi, doesn't have time for feelings. But Vi can't help catching them for her. She doesn't even know if Wren likes girls, she's never shown any interest in anyone. She's always been too shy to show off her feelings or express any sort of attraction. Vi can't help the smile that takes over her face as she watches Wren.

"You know Mylo likes you, right?" Vi says. Trying to figure the girl out.

"I know," Wren replies. Her eyes not leaving the sky.

"Do you like him?"

"As a friend, yes," Wren once gives a short answer. Vi lets out a sigh, still not understanding the girl. Usually, she can be more forward, but for Wren? She doesn't want the chance to wreck anything.

So Vi doesn't. She sits there with Wren until she has to inevitably go back inside.
