Wren tries to control her breathing as tears fall out of her eyes. She can't lose Vi, but she can't leave Ekko alone. He would be devastated if she was gone, "But Powder needs Vi," Wren whispers to herself. Wren quickly turns around stops when she sees Ekko looking at her with a concerned look.

"Wren? Are you okay?" Ekko asks, stepping towards her.

"They're gonna take her, Ekko. They're gonna take Vi and I have to stop it," She runs over to Ekko, giving him a kiss on his forehead, "Go back to The Last Drop. Stay with Powder, Mylo and Claggor," Wren tells him. Ekko doesn't respond as Wren turns and starts to run towards Vi. She jumps through the rooftops to try and get there as fast as she can. Wren stops when she looks down and finds Vander and Benzo entering the shop, "Oh, thank god," She whispers to herself.

"They'll help her," Wren hears a voice. She jumps and looks towards the person to see Ekko look at her with a guilty smile.

"I told you to go to Powder!" Wren hisses quietly.

"I know," Ekko says quietly, "But I wanted to help,"  Wren sighs but she also can't help feeling proud of him. She gives him a small smile, putting a grateful hand on his cheek. She smiles at him.

"You are so brave. That's going to come in handy one day. But for now, just stay back. Please?" Wren whispers. Ekko sighs, but nods at her. He steps back, enough to stay out of the way and watch as Wren turns around and furrows her eyebrows at the enforcers who walk out of the building with Vander in cuffs, "No," She whispers before jumping down in front of them.

"Wren?" Vander says, "You need to leave,"

"No. I'm not letting them take you. Take me, I was there. He wasn't" Wren says. She turns up and sees Ekko look at her with a sad and shocked look. He shakes his head but Wren turns back to them.

"No, she wasn't. She's trying to be brave but she was with me," Benzo says.

The male enforcer sighs, "Can someone just take the blame so we can get out of here?" Wren turns to him with a glare. She opens her mouth but Vander beats her to it.

"Me. It was me. They had nothing-" Vander stops when there is more footsteps heard. Wren stops. Her heart starts beating faster at the incoming force. Her heart stops when this man. No this animal like man runs past and slices the female enforcers neck. Her eyes widen as she stares at the blank eyes of the woman. She feels Vander grab her wrist and pull her behind him. Wren doesn't even care that she's standing next to the male enforcer.

Her eyebrows furrow as she squints and sees a person walking towards them. As he gets closer, the first thing she notices is his scarred face and red eye, "Silco?" Benzo questions. Wren looks up at him, still confused on who this man is, "You animal! Go crawl back into whatever hole you came out of!" Benzo yells at him.

"Benzo! Stay back!" Vander warns.

"You did know when to walk away," Silco says in an early calm voice.

"Wait!" Vander steps forward but he's too late as the extremely large male pushes Benzo and kills him, "No!" Both Vander and Wren yell. She steps forward, tears streaming down her face but Vander steps in front of her, preventing her from moving. Vander drops to the ground.

"Hm," Silco says, "Stubborn to the end,"

"You'll pay for that!" Wren yells. Silco turns to her and examines the girl. She holds a small knife at him. He tilts his head, signalling for the animal to stay away as he steps forward. She keeps a hard glare on him. He gives the animal a signal and before she knows it, Wren is being held up, unable to move. She keeps squirming, but whatever this man is on, he's too strong. Silco puts a hand on the girls cheek.

"A soldier. You'd be useful," Silco says, dropping his hand.

"What the hell have you done?" The male enforcer says, "This wasn't the deal!"

"Deals changed," Silco says, tossing him a pouch full of money. Wren glares at the man, "Knock her out and grab him," He says.

"What no-" Wren drops to the ground as the man punches her. Vander screams for Silco to stop but it's too late as the jacked up man punches him in the face, knocking him out. The animal-like man grabs both Vander and Wren, following his master back to their cave. Up at the top of the roof, Ekko watches down. His face stained with tears and the regret of not being able to do more.

And in the buildings basement, where blood stains the window sits Vi. Watching as two of the most important people to her are taken.
