You treaded too far this time _____.

You can't see anything, and all you can feel is being tied up to a chair. Listen. All you can hear is some water dripping. Drip, drip. It's distant, but it's there. Then you hear a different noise, a shrill tap, rythmic. Footsteps. You could tell it was heels. Someone very experienced in walking in heels, because they were fast. You realize it's coming right at you.

"This them?" They said, presumably to another person.

"Yea, so what do we do?" You hear from another person, whom you were completely unaware was there.

"That decision will be made shortly"

And immediately, they yank off the blindfold. It's dark, musty, but you can still see the two people in the room. You glance around the room, trying to take in whatever surroundings you had.

"Oh a curious one" said the silver haired one.

"I'll be taking my leave, call me once you make the decision" said the other person. He promptly left.

"I will take the tape off your mouth, but only so you can answer my questions, anything unrelated, and you will be taped again."

You nod. He leans in to take the tape off.

"Why were you sniffing around Bonten?" He said sternly.

"I wasn't aware I was." You reply in a blank tone.

"Bullshit. You were specifically asking how to reach us. I will ask again. Why were you sniffing around here?"

"I'm a detective who works with crime scene investigators. I was put on a case with Bonten." You reply, too scared of lying again.

"Shit, well you have little options."

"Let me guess, death, or join you?"

"You know your shit! Well what's it gonna be?"

"Death, I took an oath to protect the city, not harm it!"

"Have it your way" he said, as he grabbed his gun.

Aimed at your forehead. Cocked and ready to shoot.

"Last words?" He says flatly.

"None for you, scum"

Click.
His gun was empty.

"Shit, thought I still had one."

He left the room to get a new mag. Leaving you with your thoughts.

Is this really how I want to die? In a dirty old room? By a member of a gang? No. I need to reconsider.

He enters the room a minute later.

"Now, let's do this again. Any last words?" He says as he puts the gun to your forehead.

"I would like to reconsider."

"Oh?"

"You heard me."

"Watch your mouth, or you won't be getting to reconsider. Now what's with the reconsideration?"

"I don't want to die like this, and if it means swearing allegiance to people like you, I'd do it a million times."

"Interesting answer."

He leaves the room. You overhear his side of the conversation over the phone.

"Boss, they said they wanted to join, what's your opinion?"

"Do you trust them enough for that?"

"Alright, I'll let them know"

He walks back in.

"Good and bad news. Which first?"

"Good."

"Your in! Bad news, you work under me."

"Why is that bad?"

"You good with numbers?" He asked.

"Not really"

"Then it's really bad." He said grimly.

"What, are you like, finances?" You said jokingly.

"Yea."

"Oh shit." You reply, realizing what you're getting into.

He unties you, but on the condition that you can't go anywhere without him, or his permission.

"Look man, I don't even know your name. Let's do introductions. I'm _____"

"The name is Kokonoi"

A/N hope you enjoyed the first chapter of this! I'll try and update, but it won't be regular.
