Working with him is so boring.

He comes by your desk daily, but just to drop off a bunch of papers. You feel like a zombie.

This is your second week working. And all you've done is handle where money goes. It's been pretty simple, you could teach a child to do the work in 3 weeks. Anyways, one day, when Kokonoi gave you a stack of papers and you notice a sticky note on one the papers.

It reads "want to go out and get coffee? -𝓚𝓸𝓴𝓸"

You scribe on the back, "when and where?" And you get up and put it on his desk.

You continue your work. A few minutes pass, as Kokonoi walks past your desk, slipping you another note.
"Stories, in 10 minutes, don't worry, I already got you excused."

You get up and grab your coat, ready to finally get out. You go to the bottom floor and see Kokonoi sitting in his car, waiting for you. You think to yourself 'damn, that's a nice ass car'

He notices you standing there and pulls around so you can hop in.

"Thank you" you say quickly.

"No problem, you lasted quite a while for someone so ill suited for this life style. Maybe you'll feel more welcomed once we know more about each other."

"Hehe hopefully." You mutter.

It's an awkward silence. Neither of you want to start a conversation. So once you both got to Stories, you ordered and sat down. This is when the conversation finally began.

"So, where are you from?" Kokonoi asked.

"I'm from Hokkaido (which is the north most major island), what about you?" You reply relaxed.

"I was born in Shikoku, but moved to Honshu really young, so I grew up there." He replies.

"I've been to Shikoku, really nice place. I'd be happy to call it home. Growing old there would be so peaceful." You said, without any sort of filter.

"Hehe, you think out loud it seems. That's something we have in common."

"What about siblings? Do you have any? I have _ siblings."

"None that I know of, I was an only child growing up but I haven't spoken with my parents in quite a while." He replied melancholy.

"Half similarity, I haven't talked with my parents in quite a while either." You reply trying to lighten the tone to no avail.

"Here's your coffee you two" the barista says as she sets them down on the table.

"What'd you order?" You said, trying to spark a new conversation.

"Plain black coffee, and you?" He says, taking a sip.

"I got _____. It's pretty good! Wanna try it?"

"No thanks, that sounds a bit too sweet for my liking."

All of a sudden, you feel a chill run down your spine. You glance around to see nothing abnormal. Must be a random chill. You look over to Kokonoi, and notice he had the same chill.

"Let's get out of here" he says, quickly getting up and grabbing his coffee and car keys.

You both pile into his car as fast as possible and get back to the office. Sanzu is patrolling the entrance.

"Who's this Koko-Kun? I don't recognize them." Sanzu asks.

"You don't remember? They're the person you nearly killed 2 weeks back."

"I have a name you know, it's ____"

"Watch your tongue newbie." Sanzu says firmly.

"Just let us in Sanzu, we are in no mood to argue with you over your inflated ego" Koko practically spat out.

Sanzu moves aside reluctantly.

"Now you see why I told you to steer clear from him?" Koko says to you.

"Sorry I was a little bit dazed. What did you say?"

"Nevermind, anyways, if you need to contact me, here's my number. Can't guarantee I'll pick up, but in case. You're aloud to go home now, but your office hours are the same." He says as you both climb the never ending staircase.

"Thank you."

A/N this chapter was definitely odd, but I wanted them to get a bit friendlier here. As always, thanks for reading!
