Wilbur didn't see Oscar or his bitches for the rest of the week. He probably wouldn't see them again for a long time. But he still couldn't shake the uneasy feeling he had. Oscar had mouthed to Wilbur that he would kill him. Oscar probably wouldn't kill Wilbur, but he would surely make him suffer. Adults thought: "oh, he's out of school, you won't ever have a problem with him again, stop worrying". But he still lived in the same town as Oscar. It was a pretty small town as well, so Wilbur would sure as fuck bump into him sometime.
"Wilbur!" Wilbur looked up to see an irritated teacher staring at him. "You need to pay attention. If you want to get into a good college next year, you need to have good grades", the teacher scolded him. "Sorry miss", Wilbur said, looking down at his lap. The lesson continued like nothing had happened. Wilbur tried to pay attention, he really did, but the uneasy feeling took over.
"Wilbur! This is the second time I have to tell you to pay attention! If you can't be bothered to try to learn anything, you'll have to leave the classroom!" the teacher said. "No no. I'm sorry, I'm trying to pay attention!" Wilbur did not want to be sent out. He wanted to be the best student he could be.
"Well, try harder then", the teacher said harshly before turning back to her lesson.
After class, Wilbur's friends came up to him.
"Will!" he heard Eret's deep voice behind him. "Oh hi Eret, what's up?" Wilbur turned to look at his friend. "Are you okay? That teacher was rude as fuck", Eret looked a bit concered. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. She was right anyways. I should've paid attention" Wilbur answered with a light smile. "It's not a big deal, honestly. It wasn't that bad. People has to deal with way worse all of the time, it's fine", he said as Niki opened her mouth. "We have lunch now, right?" Wilbur decided to change the subject. "Yeah, I think we're having spinach soup", Jack answered. Wilbur and the rest of the group groaned. But as displeased he seemed to be on the outside, he was happy and warm on the inside for having such great friends. "Hey let's just skip lunch", the best idea Wilbur had come up with in a while. "Yep" "Yes please" "Absolutely".
Wilbur was walking alongside Tommy on the way home. "Hey Will, you okay?" Tommy glanced over at his brother. "Oh what? I- Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask?" Wilbur gracefully stuttered out. "Come on Will, I'm not blind. Me and Techno noticed something was off with you, we talked about it, but now he's suddenly stopped talking to me about it. He probably figured it out, or you told him. Either way, something's up, and I'm worried", Tommy said. His older brother sighed. "I- it's- I mean- " Wilbur started stuttering. "Will it's okay. I'm here for you bro", Tommy said, hugging his brother. "I love you Will. And don't you fucking forget that" Wilbur chuckled. "I love you too, lil bro". The two brothers just stood there for a while, hugging. Until-
"Oh look! It's William the Snitch! Boys, if it weren't for him, we wouldn't be expelled! Should we do something about that, huh?"
Wilbur froze.
It was Oscar.
It wouldn't have been so bad....
If Tommy wasn't there.
