"Powder? Powder!" Kio's voice broke off as she searched the bar. "No, no, no, no." She leaned against the bar as she got her breathing under control.

She didn't see anything but the drawn on mug sitting on the bar top. Smelling like the blueberry juice she poured only fifteen minutes prior.

"Fuck!" She yelled before running out of the old door.

She smelt the smoke and dust that filled the toxic air of the Undercity though in it she recognized a smokey smell.

This didn't match the onyx sky that stared down at her. The chemical green smoke that usually filled the air seemed diluted with a minty smell.

Almost as if someone was burning fresh shimmer. The thing that plagued Zauns citizens.

This only alarmed the young women more as she scaled along the poor housing that stood along the dusty streets.

Kio jumped on the old fire escape then on the roof trying to travel across the Lanes as fast as possible.

Even after her efforts she felt like she was not going fast enough giving enough time for her doubts to sink in.

"Fuck I should of known this would happen why did I ever trust her stupid-." She tripped over a pipe slowing her down.

She let a cry of frustration out before getting up and running. 'Shit where the hell would they-'

Her eyes were caught in a bright blast of blues and purples as she ran across the few rooftops in her way.

She breathed nervously as she noticed the explosion get bigger as shimmer and a random substance puffed into the air.

The blue and purple smoke mixed with fiery red embers made the real fear set in.'Shit.' She thought before going faster.

Mid jump she transformed into her cat form. It was quicker that way. She was a fool to trust Vi.

Even after they talked she had a bad feeling. Though all she felt at that moment was guilt and fear.

She should have went. But she volunteered to stay with Powder hopefully to watch the little girl.

Yet she couldn't even do that right. Feeling her paws hit the ground she dodged debris that we're scattered around the old factory.

It didn't take her long to discover Vanders morphed body laying around what was left of the building.

It made her sick to her stomach yet she kept going in favour of the food that rested there.

Then she saw it but felt powerless as Vi hit Powder. Her eyes widened at the girl she learned to love became a monster in her eyes.

Transforming back she ignored the ache in her bones as she ran to Powder not caring that Vi walked away."Oh Powder." She mumbled in the girls hair.

Holding her she looked behind them and saw a man come out of the rocks it was Silco. She quickly got up and picked the girl up.

"Mommy? Mommy don't leave me." She didn't pay much attention to the little girls rambling as she started running from the scene.

She felt nothing but pure adrenalin ignoring the bullet that made contact with her arm.

The man glared at her his bionic looking eye staring at her as if he lost a prized bet. "Its okay were going to leave this place for good."

Kio mumbled as she rubbed Powders back. She didn't exactly know if she consoling the girl or herself.

Though the feeling of the tears that soaked her shirt made her run faster no matter how bad her legs burned.

She needed to leave to get out.
