(1) Special Chapter

"Love! Get Qiqi out the kitchen!" Xingqiu shouts. "I'm busy! Hold on!" Chongyun answers from the second floor, oh dear, Xingqiu was annoyed from the bottom of his heart.

"Qiqi, darling go upstairs to daddy okay? I'm cooking right now, you might get hurt." yet the little girl answered, "But... daddy is busy, I won't get hurt."

Qiqi was stubborn, Xingqiu still had the patience though, "I'll tell you a story, a legend one later! Promise me to stay away for a second 'till papa here finishes okay?"

"You better promise." the little girl pouts, "I promise."

The little girl runs upstairs to where Chongyun resided, Chongyun switched courses in college and became a attorney, which he worked under the law firm of Yanfei.

"Daddyy!" Qiqi shouts, she was welcomed by her dad. Xingqiu and Chongyun adopted Qiqi after Hu Tao's passing, "Hmm, are you bored little one?" Chongyun answers while checking his documents.

"Mm.. Everyone is busy, you.. papa, our dog maeum, ah.. everyone is!" Chongyun chuckled over Qiqi's response, "You won't be bored soon." he just answered leaving the little girl confused.

The doorbell rang, "Qiqi, please get the door for me!" Qiqi ran downstairs and opened the door. She was welcomed by four people.

"Hello Qiqi!" Qiqi was happy, it was Venti, Ganyu, Diluc and Kaeya.

"Yay!!" Qiqi was happy to see them, and when they did see her they gave and exhanged her with smiles, even Diluc who wasn't fond of kids.

"Venti, please accompany Qiqi first, i'm cooking, Diluc and Kaeya please help! And Ganyu your brother is upstairs!" Xingqiu looked like a mother of ten children. "Calm down, jeez. We're here to help anyway."

Venti took Qiqi to her room as the rest did what Xingqiu said. Ganyu went upstairs to her brother's room.

"Hey." Ganyu says, "Yeah what brings you here?"

"You're working for Yanfei's lawfirm now, huh? Did you accept Xiao's case before?"

"Yeah, I did, but I'm not sure if we  should open his case again, I'm sure Venti's contented with what it is now..."

"What's stopping you?" Ganyu deliberately says.

"I figured out that Yanfei and Hu Tao were ex-lovers, I'm not sure if Yanfei fought for the case of Venti and Xiao when she was against her own ex-girlfriend."

Damn, it left Ganyu shocked, "Did you talk about this to her?"

"Well yeah, but she decided to never open it, I guess that's how it is, there really was no backstory such as from Hu tao sadly." The law is so hard, damn. Working for a law firm, accepting and dropping cases it was a headache.

Ganyu sighs, I guess that's how it is. "Well congrats passing your bar exam, jeez you're more succesful than me."

"Not the tease please." Chongyun chuckled, I guess that two siblings are slowly adapting from each other again.

A knock comes from the door, "Mind if I come in?" It was Venti, holding Qiqi's hand.

"Qiqi's.. Sleepy" He said sighing, "But don't you wanna wait for fireworks, darling?" Ganyu says.

"There are?!" Qiqi let go of Venti's hands and rushes downstairs to Xingqiu. "There she go.." Venti sighs.

"What's wrong?" Chongyun says.

"I overheard your conversation.. I don't mind reopening the case, for the justice of Hu Tao, but don't you guys think that Xiao needs it too more?" He sighs, no one knew about Hu Tao, but Yanfei did, but she wasn't able to get much evidence. It was proven guilty, since both parties almost had the same evidences.

"Mmm.. Don't worry, we don't have plans in re-opening the case." Chongyun reassures.

Venti sighed in relief causing the two to chuckle, 'till they heard fireworks from outside the window.

The three approached the outside where the sigh of Diluc helping Qiqi light a sprinkler up, they saw Xingqiu and Kaeya too, "Mind if we join?" the three approached them.

"Took you long enough." Xingqiu leans against his husband's arm, while Kaeya lights up the fireworks that flew up the sky, Qiqi smiled happily.

"Mm happy birthday Qiqi, and cheers.. For a new year." everyone said, they went inside and ate, it was a new year for them, a new start Venti thought.

Qiqi started getting sleepy but the little girl didn't forget what his Papa promised him, "Papa.. You promised me the story." she yawns, "What story?" Chongyun asks.

"A legendary story he said!! Come!" Qiqi started pulling Xingqiu who just finished cleaning.

"Alright.. Alright" Xingqiu was embarassed but he couldn't resist his daughter. "Join us too!" The rest chuckled as Xingqiu felt more embarassed as his friends and lover watch him read a story.

Xingqiu pulled out a book, something Venti was famillar with. "What book is that, Xingqiu?" he asks.

"Oh it's a book I found in the library the other day, it's pretty.. Good, look even the cover looks like you and.. You know." Venti gasped, it was a book like his own story.

"Okay, I'll start now okay?" Xingqiu sighs, as he started reading the book.

"Far, far, far away in the days when there wasn't much history made, legend says that there were two nations, and both were owned by a God. The two nations though were different, the first nation was the Wind nation, the God of wind was the only protector of the nation, but the other nation was bestowed by the God of earth, but the land of the God of earth wasn't the only one that protected it's land, he had some people. One of his people had the same powers as the God of Wind, he was pretty unique. The god of Wind loved freedom, he wanted his people to do it, what is freedom when it is demanded by a God? That was always the thought of the Wind god. One day, the nation of wind was attacked, but the wind God wasn't present, because of his ideal freedom, they didn't know he was asleep. One day, the lad that had the same powers with the God of wind that was asleep, they both stumbled upon each other. It was like the wind called the both of them together, the two were happy and contended with what they had, it was just the both of them. Eventually, the two fell in love. But in their world, falling in love with someone from another nation meant war over something, especially because the other is a God, and the other was given powers, they had to hide, but at the end at a big tree where the two always had rested and hummed each other's melody, they had to say goodbye's, they promised to each other, no matter what happens the wind will bring them together, till their next lifetimes. They said, every a hundred years the two reincarnate as people, everlasting lovers that fate hated. One day, they will have a time too, hopefully, the last phrase in the book though said, that the god said "I made this, it's a paper airplane." then the other asked "What's an airplane?" "it was a word I made, it's to fly up the sky, at the air, where no one can reach us, but us only, happily." that's what he answered, they then looked at each other happily, "'till our next paper airplanes, my love.", The end. "

Xingqiu finished reading, and realized Qiqi has fallen asleep, yet he saw the adults looking at him. "Are you sure that isn't Venti and Xia-" Chongyun asked when Xingqiu chuckled.

"Maybe Venti, you guys met before, who knows?" They all looked at Venti, teary eyed. "Definitely" Venti chuckled and laughed his tears off, "Don't worry, I hope 'till our next lifetime you guys are present too, let's go? Qiqi's sleeping." the others silently smiled, "Mmhm.. Let's go!"

The others left Qiqi's room, it was finally a new year, everyone stayed and went to their guest room where everyone slept, only Venti ended up and remained awake, "If it was really you, 'till next time."
