Stevie and Lindsey jostled awake to the sound of Lindsey's cell phone ringing. It was loud and obnoxious and Stevie started whacking him with her pillow to get him to shut it up.

"Hello." Lindsey answers, putting it on speaker.

"Hi Daddy."

"Kendall, you're right down the hall you can walk in here."

"Actually no I'm not..." When she said that, Stevie perked up in concern.

"Well where are you?"

"Ronald Reagan Medical Center."

"Why?" Lindsey inquires.

"I went into labor yesterday afternoon. We decided after dinner that we were going to go to the hospital. We snuck out while you were watching that weird Italian movie." She explains. "I'm sorry I didn't say anything."

"No, we didn't expect you too. You made it very clear that you and Cade were to be the only ones in the room when you gave birth." Lindsey shakes his head.

After her car accident scare, everyone was literally at the hospital in her room. Because she was in her second trimester at the time they were doing pelvic exams, there was an internal heart monitor,  and ultrasounds and it was just so overwhelming that she had a panic attack. When they got home, Kendall asked if her actual labor would be like that. Stevie told her how her labor had went and though no pregnancy or labor is the same Kendall and Cade thought about it long and hard and they decided that to limit the amount of people and the stress it would just be the two of them at the hospital when she went into labor. Stevie and Lindsey understood that. Stevie didn't very much like that because if what if something had gone wrong and Kendall needed emergency surgery or what if the unthinkable happened and she hadn't survived. Stevie would've had a melt down if she didn't get to say goodbye to her daughter. Especially after the trauma that had been Kendall's life.

"Well, I'm calling to tell you that the baby is here. It's a little girl."

"It's a little girl, oh honey that's great." Stevie gasps grabbing Lindsey's arm.

"We haven't decided on a name yet." Kendalls says sheepishly.

"That's okay...when do visiting hours start?" Stevie asks looking at the clock on her night stand reading 7:30  in the morning.

"Nine. I wanted to call you right now so you can bring us some breakfast. The hospital food doesn't look, or smell too appealing, and there's nothing on this menu that I want to eat."

"Of course sweetheart, what do you want?" Lindsey asks.

"Well. I don't really have a preference. My options here at the hospital is oatmeal, eggs and toast, fruit, a donut,  or a muffin."

"Yeah, none of those sound good." Lindsey wrinkles his nose.

"Cade says he wants an omelet." Kendall explains.

"Well we'll surprise you." Stevie sighs.

"Thanks momma."

"Of course, now you get some rest baby girl." Stevie coos.

"I will. I love you momma, love you daddy."

"We love you too Kendall." Lindsey hangs up the phone and he just looks at Stevie.

"We have a grand daughter."

"Yeah I guess we do." Stevie laughs.

"What should we do about getting them some breakfast?"
