Shoto POV

I was deep in conversation with Uraraka when I noticed Katsuki start to get restless.

He was trying to remain engaged, but I knew it wasn't always easy for him.

I smiled at the thought of how sweet he was to try for me.

I knew he wanted to run back to Izuku already. But he was staying here in both Izuku's and my best interest.

It is always gratifying to be reminded that under all that tough stuff, he is all soft fluff.

I decided not to point it out, however, knowing very well that my doing so would only cause him embarrassment.

Uraraka and I had started to settle into a more casual discussion when I noticed a change in his persona.

He straightened up slightly as if having settled something in his mind, and I knew that was the only warning I would receive before he abruptly and wordlessly stood up and walked off briskly.

Some people would see this and think him rude, but I knew him better. His thought process being to avoid distracting those in conversation and therefore not forcing them to acknowledge his presence. Or lack thereof.

At Katsuki's obvious signal to leave, I turned towards Uraraka and tilted my head slightly in polite acknowledgment and apology before following Katsuki at a more leisurely pace.

I could tell his anxiety was kicking in and mixing with his alpha instincts in an unpleasant solution of desperation, but I made no comment. I had experienced the feeling before and could not fault him.

The walk towards Izuku's room seemed shorter than I remembered. Or maybe that was just me being lost in thought and staring at Katsuki's back.

Some may think it weird, an alpha being so attracted to another alpha, but I loved every part of him. The tight-fitting black vest he wore did little to soften his well-defined muscles. Even for an alpha, Katsuki was unusually bulky. Yet still deliciously indented at the hip bone. The perfect nook to rest my hands on. He was quite sensitive there, but he always refused to admit it.

Katsuki must have noticed my eyes on him because as we approached the door, he slowed slightly, swaying his hips and stretching his arms above his head. His back muscles flexed and strained to the point I was concerned for the fabric covering them, and his broad shoulders rotated deliciously as he tilted his head lightly in the opposite direction of his arms, exposing his gorgeous, unmarred neck built with strong muscles and tendons.

When I caught him slightly looking over his shoulder, I knew he was playing with me. Two could play at that game. I would get him back for it later, and knowing Katsuki, he was counting on it.

Unfreezing from my spot 3 feet behind him, I maneuvered around the promiscuous alpha and grasped the door handle.

Before going in, I knocked 3 times. two short, one long. It was a little code we three had come up with. So that Izuku could always know when we specifically were at the door. Opening doors without warning quickly proved to stress Zuku a lot, but as long as it was us, he calmed immediately.

I smiled slightly as it dawned on me how cute that was. We had our own little secret code, and I liked it. We came up with words and actions to signify other things too. Safe words for things like feeling stressed or overwhelmed. I could tell it greatly lifted the burden for Izuku to express his emotions, so the memorization was worth it.

\Within Izuku's room, which had changed some now that his heat had ended, were a few more familiar faces than normal. Usually when our friends went to meet Izuku, or other servants building a relationship with him (they all look at Izuku quite fondly). Visits were done in rotations, to keep Izuku comfortable. Today, however, at the expense of his comfort, Izuku allowed for the last of the people who had yet to meet him, to all meet him at once. This was the main reason Katsuki and I left. We would just be two more additions to the social frenzy. When we had returned, we seemed to have intruded on a fond moment.
