Todoroki's POV

He was goddamn... fucked up

He was a mess. And yet, I still felt my heart jump when he walked in. his probably usually curly hair was matted. The color could be anywhere between blonde or black. His face was bruised and smudged. Dirt caked on his cheeks. Old, dried tear streams looked like they had been painted on. His cheeks were bright red, either from embarrassment, anger or exhaustion. His cloak was ripped and torn. He held it close to his body. I wanted to rip it from him and be the one to warm him up instead. I tried my best to keep a cold stare, but my sister passed me a slight smirk when she noticed how I studied him. She knew me too well. The clothes under the cloak were surprisingly well kempt. It was obvious that he always wore the cloak. No matter the weather. So his clothes were protected from the weather and tear.

And then we locked eyes. It was just for a second. But I felt like my body had been lit on fire. They were absolutely beautiful. Large and deep. They were a gorgeous emerald. And they felt like they were boring into you. Analysing you. They were the eyes of an intelligent strategiser. He studied the room. Sought out every possible exit. When he looked like he was planning, his eyes would sparkle. But then, as if he would recognize a fault in his plan, they would dull again, and the corners of his mouth would tug down slightly.

My father's voice broke my thoughts. I missed what he said, but the omega looked irritated and offended. This was not a surprise. My father had a knack for pushing people's buttons. The omega obediently followed the knight holding his chains towards the middle of the room. The knight put unnecessary pressure inorder to pull him along. Put on a show for the king I suppose. However at the last minute, the omega abruptly sat down. Pulling the chain taught as the knight's showmanship came back to bite him.

His arm twisted awkwardly behind him as he lost his balance. Doing some sort of embarrassing flip before getting up in frustration. His face was bright red. Clearly mortified but not wanting to cause a scene. So he glared at the omega in what I assume he thought was a menacing way.

I couldn't help but smirk slightly, and Fuyumi stifled a giggle. When the omega turned to look at us, he was surprised to see we had lost our composure. So we all shifted uncomfortably under his gaze as we had been caught. I replaced my smirk with my usual face. Katsuki kept his. Afterall, his arrogant ass is almost always smirking.

Seemingly forgetting our presence, the omega smiled tauntingly at the knight. Who looked like he was two breaths away from blowing up.

"THAT'S ENOUGH OMEGA!" my father interrupted the exchange. Saving the knight from doing something he would regret. My father decided this was the time to try out a new attempt at looking intimidating. Standing up ridiculously slow and walking in an awkward rhythm. It was hard not to laugh when I saw the omega trying his hardest not to roll his beautiful eyes.

"You are so plain. I have no idea why one of my knights would ever throw away their honor for someone like you. Though I guess you do have a nice body. Maybe it was your scent... why don't you..." he paused, and made an odd expression "release a little for me and let me see~"

I was fuming. And so was Katsuki. Who the fuck asks someone that?! Usually I would find his disgustingly stupid attempts to seduce an omega hilarious. But this time I was infuriated. Why was I so mad? I never take a liking to people this quick. Even to my mate, Katsuki. And he is literally my soulmate. I decided my rut must be near. Some alphas get irrational protective of strangers when that happens. Though that's not a symptom I usually have.

The omega looked dangerously on edge. I saw so many emotions flash through his eyes. Anger, disgust, offense and more. His face morphed into an ugly sneer. He let out a little growl and spit in my father's eyes.
