The King

God I was scared. I couldn't help it. This was the KING we were talking about. Not to mention the never ending rumors going around about his cruelty. I mean, this man's favorite form of punishment was EXECUTION!!!! EXECUTION PEOPLE!!!!! Like wtf?

But I knew I had no choice. As scared as I was, I would not submit. Not anymore, not again. Maybe if I was careful, and made him hate me just enough, I would come out of this unscathed.

We waited outside of two huge double doors. Just me and the commander. Weirdly enough, I felt safer around him. Like everything was going to be ok because he was a strong alpha who cared.

I knew it was false hope though... what alpha REALLY cares about an omega? I mean come on... no one cares about omegas except other omegas. And that's only for the females. Even the female omegas hate the male omegas...

Regardless, It would be foolish to not be cautious in this situation. I couldn't just disrespect this man. At Least not openly. One mistake and I am deader than dead.

I was pulled out of my thoughts for the 5th time today by the sound of the doors opening. It resonated through the huge room behind it, where everything was eerily silent. I held my breath, embarrassed by how blatantly the attention was turned to me.

There were a few things that surprised me. First of all, the entire royal family was there except for the queen. Prince Natsou, Princess Fuyumi, Prince Shoto, and Prince Katsuki. Also present was a very short old lady. She looked to be a doctor. She had a kind face. Contrast to the slightly irritated expression of king Enji.

It was unsettling, having all eyes on him. Frozen in positions that imply they were in the middle of a heated argument. Each turned towards each other on their respective thrones in fairly unflattering ways. Except the short lady.

After a few seconds of staring, all of them turned into respectable positions on their thrones except for Prince Katsuki. Of Course this was not a surprise. It was widely known that he did not care how people perceived him. As long as they knew to fear him. And people most definitely did. he sat sideways on his newly installed throne. one leg hung over an arm of the seat and basically placed in Todoroki's lap who seemed to be indifferent about the intrusion of space. no one actually knew why Katsuki had moved in from the Bakugou Kingdom, but there were many guesses. we studied each other silently, while avoiding each others eyes.

"WELL DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!! BRING THE SLUT FORWARD AND LET'S GET THIS OVER WITH!!!!" the king boomed.

My eyebrows furrowed in frustration and I licked my dry lips as I was yanked forward. I went easily with the knight holding my chains towards the middle of the room. But at the last minute, once he had gained enough momentum, I sat my butt down harshly on the floor. The chain strung taught, and the knight's arms were yanked back by his own strength. He stumbled for a second. And then twisted as he fell. Landing on his face.

The room was quiet once again. I knew I was going to get in trouble with this stunt i pulled. But when I looked up to stare defiantly at the people seated above me. I was surprised to see the princess stifling a laugh. And the princes faintly smiling. My surprise must have been obvious as they all immediately turned their heads to compose themselves.

The knight I tripped, thoroughly embarrassed, stood up in a rage. Their pudgy face completely red and eyes fixated on me with scathing anger. His expression told me that, had we not been in royal presence, he would have beaten me to 'put me in my place'

Forgetting people were watching, I smirked tauntingly at him.

"THAT IS ENOUGH OMEGA!!" the king vocalized, seemingly the only one not amused by my little scandal. He stood up from his seat slowly. Obviously attempting to look regal but instead looking like he suffered from arthritis. He stalked over to me slowly. Trying to make the 5 second travel longer and more intimidating. Probably to scare me. But in order to do that, he had to take shorter strides than his legs were made for. Resulting in a stiff and awkward sashay. It was really hard not to laugh.

Remembering my manners, I lowered my head respectfully. No omega should ever look an alpha in the eye unless given permission.

He roughly grabbed my chin and yanked my head upwards to look him in the eye. He studied me.

"You are so plain. I have no idea why one of my knights would ever throw away their honor for someone like you. Though I guess you do have a nice body. Maybe it was your scent... why don't you..." he paused and looked at me in what i assume was supposed to be a seductive way "release a little for me and let me see~"

My vision went hazy with anger. This entire day has been total shit. Scratch that. This whole week! And then the king comes up to me, tells me i'm ugly straight to my face, and then flirts with me?!. Not just flirting. SEXUAL flirting?!?! Asking an omega to let out their scent for you was not only offensive, it implied that they were a whore. AND not to mention he insulted me.

I was so mad, I totally forgot my status and his. There was a ringing in my ear. All I saw was his ugly face. My saliva felt thick in my mouth. I sneered in an ugly way, let out a little growl, then spit in his ugle face.

When I finally came back to my senses. There was complete silence. Everyone in the room stood frozen in astonishment. A lowly omega from the streets, just SPIT on the king!!!

I shook in fear. I knew what was coming. I expected it, yet it still hurt.

"YOU BITCH!" the king screamed, shaking in anger. And then it came. The slap. It burned more than any other slap I felt. Tears pricked my eyes, but I would not cry. All I had left was my pride. Cry now and I submit to him. I wouldn't. WOULD NOT. submit to an alpha. Especially a royal one. Or I would only be hurting myself.

I am so sorry you guys. I just had a big moment impact my life and have been busy with classes that I lost motivation. My dog died and French is super time consuming. I am not looking for sympathy, just understanding. I mad this chapter extra long in hopes it could make up for a little of this. so sorry...
