Across town in Queen's

"Kit Kat, what are you doing here?" Mathews' surprise laced voice comes from behind her. Turning to see her brother who was sitting in his wheelchair in the kitchen she sets her bags down and lets out a defeated sigh.

"They brought him to earth and expect me to live and work with that monster." Seeing the confusion in his brown eyes she explains further. "Loki. They brought Loki from Asgard to earth." Mathew takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly as he takes a moment to process what his sister just told him.

"And so you quit." He says looking down at the bags at her feet. Her silent nod makes him sit up straighter in his chair. "No."

Frowning she crosses her arms under her breasts with her right hip jutted out. "No? No, what?"

"No to quitting. No to letting him win. You go back there and make sure he doesn't hurt any more people. If you're here then there's no one there to keep him in check. You're extremely powerful and your power combined with the new witch on your team you guys could stop him before he even thinks about doing anything stupid." Opening her mouth she closes it because that's not at all what she expected him to say to her.

She expected him to agree with her decision, not tell her off. "Matty, it's not that simple. He's a smarmy asshole who I almost just killed. They aren't gonna want me back. Not when I just jeopardized their little deal with the King of Asgard."

"You know Tony and Natasha wouldn't allow them to keep you from being on the team. Probably gonna have to apologize. Don't give me that look Kit Kat. You had to know that was gonna be something you had to do." He says when she gave him shocked eyes and opened her mouth to say no way in hell.

"Matty I don't know if I'll physically be able to. You haven't met him in person. He's.. he's.. Loki.." Katherine trails off not really knowing how to explain him with the correct discriptives.

How did she explain to her brother that the only impression she really got of Loki in those few short minutes was that he was a very tall, irritatingly handsome god with flashing green eyes and wicked smirk? Didn't matter how attractive he was, he had hurt Mathew. The only person she loved and the only family she had left in this world. He was the only person who'd loved her for exactly who she was since they'd shared a womb.

Walking over to sit at his small dining room table they linked hands and pressed their foreheads together. Being twins had given them a connection that no one else would understand unless you were one. And having been left to raise each other once their mother died had only solidified their already tight bond. If Mathew thought she should go back she would, but she needed some time to cool off first.

"Fine." That's all she said, but that's all that needed to be said he knew what she meant. Smiling Matty kissed her forehead.

"Good. Now how about we chill and then I'll come with you when you go back. Help you out by reminding them why you got so pissed off." He winks as he gestures at his chair.

Katherine knew he hated being stuck in that wheelchair, but he wasn't above using it if it got his big sister by two and half minutes out of trouble. Chuckling, she agreed to his terms. She might be the older of the two of them, but he always acted like the big brother when he needed to. To be her parent or her protector when the occasion called for it.

As they were snacking on peanut butter and banana toast a knock sounded on the front door. The siblings share a look before she got up to open it to see Clint standing behind Natasha. Sighing, she let them inside.

"I've already convinced her to go back." Mathew tells them both with a warm smile as he brushes crumbs off his lap as they come into the living room. "And to apologize."
